Good luck with everything.
Anemia sucks that's for sure.
Hey everyone, sorry I've been absent for the past two weeks. It's been a crazy time, haha.
Well, I graduated my final class that I needed to, and as I was waiting on learning which Submarine I was to serve on, Medical called me in. They recieved a red flag in my last blood test, and wanted to run some more blood tests.
Turns out, my iron count is extremely low, which is a sign of anemia. Unfortunately, anemia is a disqualifying factor of submarines.
Good news is though, I'm still able to serve on the surface fleet. So I'm actually in the process of packing everything and moving to Norfolk, Virginia where my next and final command is. I'm stationed on the LSD 50 Carter Hall, where I'll be serving with Air Force, Marines and the Navy.
I leave Monday for a 10 day Leave period, then on the 20th I report to the Ship, where we'll most likely go on an underway. If I'm able to visit, I'll let you know how it's going, but for now, I'll be unavailable. Thanks everyone, I hope to see you soon. Take care guys.

And then just like that i'm gone again.
Good luck out there on the Carter Hall. Try to see if you can find a really good camera for all the places you might see. You know? A good SLR should work. There are some that are top notch that I just call 'SLR digital camera film emulator'. If you can find a digital camera like this, I was told it's like auto-tune for your eyes. I don't feel like writing all what I have learned first hand, so I'll just tell you there are books on photography at book stores. During my travels, I had a manual 35mm SLR, but it's no where to be found at the moment.
The one I really want to get one day is called Vivitar Vivicam V3800- 35mm SLR Camera (~$170). I would feel like I was working for National Geographic with that camera.

Cool, Norfolk isn't far from where I live.
Best of luck with gettin' shipped out and all. (Sorry bout the anemia, that sucks)
Woot! Finally back. I figured I'd post my return here, since it was still on the first page. (That, and I would prefer to ninja back into tff)
Well, the Carter Hall is awesome. I'm loving it here in Little Creek. It's a blast. I have learned so much shit already, and have went on a couple underways. So things are looking good for me.
Anyways, I'm back, and I'll be active. I'm planning on working on different projects, like a potential RP, a potential book, working on my journal, and even begin my hand in volunteering for TFF. I've been here long enough, time to get my ass moving, get my post up, and actually contribute instead of ninja and lurk everywhere. Lol!

I'm with you. Try checking out the country bars and clubs. The country bars in Norfolk and Virginia Beach can be a lot of fun. The scene is also pretty good at the biker bars. See if you can also make it to West Virginia in the future.

Yeah! I think it's insane heat out here, but it's not bad. I'm loving the fact I can go to the beach whenever I want, plus it's a pretty cool place to be at. There's a lot to do, if you take the time to look around. Lynnhaven Mall, the movies, beaches, go kart racing, golf courses, aquariums, it's all good stuff.
