I just want to say thank you to EVERYONE on here for being nice, and generally all round good mature people.

The reason I am thanking you, is because I am also a member of another forum (for Resident Evil, another game series I adore), where I was getting along nicely with everyone, until today, when someone posted that the Resident Evil novels are a logical way of fitting in the gaps and plotholes for the games, but received a reply from the Admin that basically said "Well, yes they are a logical way, but they aren't "canon" to the games, so your statement doesn't have any value."

I thought this was a disgusting way to talk to someone. This person just wanted to speak an opinion, that the books for the game are very informative, only to be disenfranchised and patronised by the Admin, because a statement about the books wasn't befitting to that of a "true" Resident Evil fan.

The Final Fantasy forum is full of people that genuinely respect each others opinions, and reserve any discrimination and biased opinions to themselves mostly, and if a situation involving a bit of friction arises, it is quickly dealt with.

So thank you, I love this forum and will be sticking ONLY with this forum, where i've made a few great online friends :')

I agree, this forum is very respectful of each individual's opinion. We can argue but still respect eachothers opinion, we are all a big FF family.

Exactly. The Admin for the Resident Evil forum is just sad, pathetic and obviously has nothing better to do in life than sit and make people's opinions feel worthless. I know it's just a forum, and it's just discussions, but people who are discussing a topic they may feel passionate about, should have the respect that every human being deserves, and personally, I think that the world can do without the small-minded, prejudiced, biased and discriminative people that currently inhabit it.

EDIT: Is it sad that I just had a little cry at my passion for equality? :')

No, it's not sad, equality is not what it used to be. I used to be part of another forum, but someone would stalk me on there and make my life miserable. I stayed away from forums for a long time after that, but now I'm back, and I'm even back on the forum I left. I didn't want to give someone the satisfaction of knowing they bothered me.

There's nothing wrong with wanting alittle compassion. Keep in mind though, when we're online, it's hard to express emotion and show anything. You can't tell if we're serious or joking, or if people even mean what they say. It might have just not sounded rude to him/her. (I doubt that, but I've got to leave it as a possiblility.)
