Hey, it's Ruin. Lately, I've been a lurker lately, only posting once or twice a day, and I've been mainly watching and laughing.

Tomorrow, EST 12.15, I will be leaving to MEPS, to enlist for the NAVY. It's been a choice of mine for months, and I'm not getting any younger. 18 is a great age to enlist, too.

Tomorrow is when I take the ASVAB test, and Wednesday is when I pick my job, based on my scores. I will not be available until late Wednesday, so wish me luck! Next time we speak, I may be a Sailor. ^.^

I wish you the very best of luck, Ruin. I hope you do well on the ASVAB test and get the job that you enjoy! I think it takes a great person to answer the call to serve our country, especially now.

Hey, and on the upside, if you decide to make this your career, you can totally retire earlier than most people who don't enlist in armed services.

Well, my fellow TFF'ers and CPC8 friends, I have returned. MEPS was fantastic, and although hectic, everything was sorted out.

Tuesday, at around 5, I took the ASVAB. I scored a Composite Score of 85, my best individual scores in Engineering, Electrical, Nuclear and Mechanical.

Today, I had my Medical Examination, and passed with flying colors. My hearing is excellent, and my body is in fit shape, the only faults is my vision, which is good enough to not need glasses, but bad enough to be a minor inconvienience. I failed my depth perception test, and that is it.

Due to my scores, I missed the job I was aiming for by 15 points. I was originally aiming for Nuclear Engineer, which I can still get, if I test into it. I have to take a couple more tests, and see where I sit at. For now, though, I am an official AECF Navy E-1. AECF stands for Advanced Electronics Computer Field, where I will be going to Great Lakes, Illinois for my training. I am enlisted for 4 years standard time, and an extra 2 years for Advanced Training and other tasks.
