I just joined today after finding the forum on google. I've been a fan on and off since FF8 came out and I'm currenty re discovering my love for the games while playing Crystal Chronicles and Crisis Core. I just brought Crisis Core after finally finding it in a shop and had to run around hunting for a psp as I didn't have one. Now I'm spending my days getting to grips with the luck based level up system as I'm more used to working up levels and facing Genesis on level 17 seems totally impossible.
My favourite era is the FF7 storyline with FF8 a close second.
