I've played FFX, X-2, XII, and Tactics Advance, however I've only completed FFX and Tactics Advance. I'm a bit rubbish at video games, and have recently find myself lacking time to finish them. However, I have a long summer, therefore far too much time to kill.
I get more into the stories of games than the actual gameplay; I'm a big book nerd and always open to recommendations.
Other games I enjoy include the Soul Calibur Series, Fire Emblem 7 and 8, Golden Sun and the Lost Age, Jade Cocoon, Jade Empire and the Elder Scrolls : Oblivion. Again, always open to recommendations here, too.
I wish I had more interesting things to say; purple is my favourite colour and I'm studying history at uni in October. I like a fair variety of music. If you want to know anything else, feel free to PM me.
If you love story then I recommend going more for old school games, they didn't have the ability to super wow with graphics. Cronotrigger, FFIV, FFVI, Xenogears, Breath of Fire series, Secret of Mana ect ect. They are well worth the play and focus all on story and character development.

Welcome to the forums! Is this your first forum? If you need any help, there's an adoption service for beginners but you don't seem like a beginner but always nice to say.
Erm, what else... Oh, yeah. If you own a PS3, there's a few FF games you can purchase there and I suggest going for the Star Ocean on Xbox 360 as well as Neir. They're pretty good games for a RPG fan.

What historical period most strikes your fancy? If I do say so myself, I'm quite awesome at Tudor-Stuart history. I was going to take History at Uni, but eventually decided against it.

Thanks! And I've only ever played the first Jade Cocoon, I didn't even realise there was a second. But I absolutely love it.
I'm looking through the module options at the moment; British Political and Constitutional History 1485-1750 has been the one to most take my fancy thus far though-clearly we both have good taste.
There are a lot of non-RPGs with great stories too. You might like the Assassin's Creed series. They're basically historical fiction games that aren't too hard to play. Might be worth a look if you have a current gen console.
What kind of books do you like? I've always been into fantasy but lately I've found myself drawn away to other genres more. No one genre in particular, just different from what I normally read.
