How did you come up with your username, or where did it come from? I've wanted to ask some people that before but I think this is better.

Mine was part of a joke,*code name*cough* and then I just ended up making it my username

I have no idea. I came up with this user name in 2000 before we switched to Vb. I like it though... seems.... appropriate.

Dodie is my nickname. I got it because my youngest brother was born with Down Syndrome, and it affects the way he speaks. He never could say my name, so he calls me "Dodie" instead. The name just sort of stuck to me ever since, and I use it for most everything that requires a log-in name. It's easy to remember, and not a lot of people have it.

The 16 part, well...it's really just a number. It goes back to when I was 16 and got my first AOL screen name, which was Dodie16. Don't really know why I keep the 16 tacked on the end. I guess it's just force of habit now.

I was a fan of the King of Fighter Series, and I used one of the character's names as my username waay back when I was like 13. It stuck ever since, it's easy to say and has a nice ring to it.

Seeing as this is a Final Fantasy fan site and forum, and I play those games primarily to smash the most difficult boss in each game, my original username (Alpha Weapon) was a play on the recurring Omega/Ultima/Emerald/etc Weapons in the Final Fantasy series.

Then I dropped the Weapon part. No reason really, but it's pretty useless.

Actually, my very first username was Richie789, which is what I use for a number of unimportant logins. I changed that after I realised that I didn't actually need to remember my username.

Storm for more than one reason- first of all I really love stormy nights, and the second is because Storm is one of my favorite X-Men. I'm not sure why I didn't use Nightcrawler instead as he is my favorite, but Storm can relate to more than one thing, than just having a distinct character name.

My username when I first joined was Valentine89, which came about being stuck for ideas, and becuase it was around the time when the Final Fantasy VII compellation rumours were starting, and Vincent was one my favorite Final Fantasy VII characters. It changed when I saw how many other Final Fantasy VII/Vincent fans were around and I didn't want to just seem like another one of them! At one time my username was Uryu Ishida, which was only short-lived. Uryu is my favorite Bleach character, but people kept forgetting it was me, plus I liked being Storm so it went back soon after.

Zantetsuken is obviously Odin's attack, and Odin has always been one of my favourite summons, so I decided on the name. The reason the N on the end of my name is capital is because I thought Zantetsuken with a lower case one would be taken.

Well I went through a ton of unmemorable names as a kid before sticking with celtic_silver on a few sites. I couldn't think of a username, looked around and saw my inspiration. A silver ring with a Celtic design an old friend of mine gave me.

Eventually it became Silver or when Silver was taken Silver89, SilverAU or a similar variation. I feel silver also suits my personality. I can shine but sometimes the rust gets me looking pretty dull. And a few people irl have mentioned I often act as the metaphorical cloud with a silver lining.

My name came from a Bleach character. My name when I first joined was Kisuke_Hellsing, which was just a name comprised of the names of my favorite characters from my favorite anime's. Recently I have thought about requesting a change, but I am lazy and don't feel like attempting to think of a cool name. Plus Kisuke isn't all that bad...

Well, how I got my current name is complicated, though I won't go into exact details. I joined under a different name and then disappeared for like half a year. During that time period, I played Star Ocean: Till the End of Time and I loved it. So when I came back, after a lot of name changing, I switched my name to Fayt's, from that game. But after a while, I didn't like the English version of the name anymore, so I asked for it to be "Fate," the Japanese version.

There also came a time where I switched to something else and someone else took the username, but after some talking, he gave me my name back, so I'm thankful.

Well, I had alot of usernames in my time here, So i'll geuss i explain everyone of them why it ended up taking them.

Xotser was the first username is used if i remember correctly, I used it since i had used it on alot of other accounts.

Xanthos was the second i used, Just changed it because i founded this forum very attractive to me, That's an reason why i changed.

King Milky is the third i used, Pretty much because i played Disgaea and messed around with Taro on the stages. ^^ Made me thirsty for Milk and Cookies.

Uber Gilgamesh is the fouth i used, Yes... Im a Gilgamesh fanboy, But who doesn't love the FF comical buddy?!

Alther Primus is the fifth i used, Jeez... I gotta stop change. Pretty much changed because i opened the group Citizens of Chaosthroph, which slowly growed into a decent RP group.

Satan Asthelias The 6th i used... is... Because of one of the things in the group, Nothing special to know.

Satan Demidias The 7th i used, Just changed the second, Bored of the old... i changed it to this.

Elyon Demidias The 8th! And the one i use now, I used the Elyon name since im an fanboy to Elyon, one of the characters in Breath of Fire V, He's cool, If you don't think so... Well... I never said you should.

1.Wolfie-Well I had got done reading the Twilight Saga..and I absolutely adored the wolfpack and the Quilettes.So I thought of a girlie name for the word-Wolf.And Wolfie popped in my mind and I adored it.
2.Firefly-My current name,I thought of this name from the song Fireflies by Owl City.It was my fav song..and I thought,'What the heck? Let's give it a try.'
3.Aerith Heartilly-Its the username I am waiting to be changed to.Ok dont make fun of me but,I have just got done playing Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core..and Aerith sorta stuck out I guess.The last name,Heartilly, is of course from Rinoa,my fav FF character of all time.

well i guess my "final fantasy" as a kid was bein a sayian. my borther and i(along with a bunch of cousins) used to run full speed with our arms spread out and jump over ditches, climb trees, play fight really fast and pretty much anything tha dragonball characters did wed try to do.... i was really big into DBZ ...lol

The first forum I joined was The Theory of a Deadman Boards. I was stuck trying to think of a user name, because... well, I was new to this sort of stuff. I'd never had my own computer before. At the time, I was working my way through Tomb Raider: Legend, and the guide book was open on the bed next to me. Taking a flick through, I found the final boss, which was called Unknown Entity. Of course, that's not it's name - Lara just didn't know what it was.

Anywho, I joined there. The day before my sixteeth, I joined Vaperida (some text based, online RPG). Unknown Entity seemed to fit the mystery with the game, and so that was that.

Then I joined here. Not only could I not be bothered to think of another name when I signed up, I didn't want to come across as some silly fan girl. Already, I made a fool of myself as a noob - it would have been worse with a fan name... we won't go there. @_@;

Then it just kind of stuck. At the time, I wasn't even aware Unknown Entity is a popular name, so it's got a few variations in places such as LaEntity, Entity666, KnownEntity... blaah, to name a few.

Well as unimaginative as this sounds Smurphy is more or less what all my friends call me. Either its an amalgamation of my first and last names or its an ironic name given that smurfs are small and blue and im tall/big and my most conspicuous feature is my red hair.

Every time that I reply to one of these threads my reply becomes slightly different. This is mostly because in my old age my memory is a little shaky. And because I don't think I ever actually had any idea why I chose my username.

One thing I'm certain about is that I never took any inspiration from Aeris/Aerith, even though I first started using 'Aerif' on TFF and FFVII was the first FF I'd ever played, at the time I couldn't even remember her name. One theory is that 'Aerif' is an anagram of 'A Fire', and had something to do with an RPG Maker game I had been creating at the time.

In all honesty though I have no idea. It's now my mainly-used username (alternatively AerifOnline in cases where Aerif is gone), although of course I use other names from time to time.

Anyone watched a cartoon called Gargoyles? I used to watch it all the time, my favorite character was David Xanatos, the main antagonist. That's where my username originates from. I use Xanatos as a username on few sites, quite often I have to add something to it because it's already used, actually that was also the case here on TFF.

Later on I discovered that there's a fallen Jedi called Xanatos, Xanatos is also an alternate spelling of Thanatos, the God of death, honestly I'm not really fond of these dark and evil relevance's to my username.

There once was a ska band from Chicago named "Telegraph." I had never heard their music, but my brother gave me one of their patches (along with a Less Than Jake and Five Iron Frenzy patch, all three of which I still wear on the back of my coat to this day.) Curious as to what the band I had named myself after sounded like, I bought a CD collection of their stuff from 93-96, when they went by "Scholars," I think (there were a bunch of ska bands by that name.) Luckily, I liked their stuff a lot; the lead singer sounds a little like Chris or Roger from LTJ. (There's a link to their myspace page in my sig.)

There have been a couple other prominent user names in the past couple years: "Hellfire," which I deemed too generic, when two members joined using that sn and some numbers afterwards within like two weeks of each other; and "Taco," which I deemed too much of a food product ("Calamity Taco" was pretty awesome, though.) Telegraph was the first sn I used here, and I intend it to actually be the last... unless I change my mind again.

Also: Gargoyles was the shit. Anyhoo...
