Hey all, Do you ever have dreams about what you want to be doing after you graduate college? What dream Job do want? Or what higher up career do you want succeed in? I like Culinary Arts but now I don't like it, I really wanted to do Graphic Design and Animation but I was confused about what major I wanted to take up. Now I'm stuck in Culinary Arts, but the next semester coming I want to do Graphic Design and Animation. As of right now my dream job would be working in the hosptality department, working in a restrurant, etc. My higher up career is of now I don't know, but hopefully I can find my calling. What future profession would you like to pursue?

Artist and designer.

I already did a small portion of college for this, but I was told I needed to be moved into the advanced classes. And since it was getting late into the academic year, I decided to go back in August.

By the time I finish, I can take the choice to show my work to galleries and museums, etc, or I can head to university to take even further advanced studies.

I'd like to become an artist and designer as quick as possible, but good artists need time to perfect in work.

I'm a little unsure at this point.

Right now, I'm training to be an actor. I've loved it since I was a child, and I still enjoy it today. I've done some stage shows, but I think I might enjoy film acting. I do a lot with my face and that's more valuable in the film world. But, then, I'm not sure what kind of parts to expect. I look young, and I'm 5' nothing. I'll probably be put in younger roles for a while. If I get cast at all. The audition process is crazy.

So I've been considering a career as a talent or casting agent. I think I would enjoy either one, and I think those careers would still benefit from my training.

I'm also considering it because it's more stable than acting. And before I'm thirty (or at least somewhere around that age), I would like to be able to start a family. It's just really important to me that my parents get a chance to know their grandchildren and that my grandparents at least get to see me get married. My family started kind of late. My dad is turning 60 in a few days and my mom is in her 50s. My career is important to me, but so is this.

Really, I just want to be involved with performing arts in some way.

Honestly, I went to college at first to become a professional web designer, but the overall courses and atmosphere of my college turned me away from it, so I'll really only do something for myself, if anything.

But now, considering I'm journeying to a sex change, I'm going to say that I'm aiming to become a model. Not the runway models you see on the catwalk, but a photoshoot model you see on magazine covers like Easyrider, Playboy, Lowrider, Import Tuner, etc.

And also obviously a novelist and co-mangaka. There's something else I would like to be as well, but I don't think it's family appropriate to mention in here.. Hee.

But other than that, there you go. And also, I would hope to make a sig/avy set of myself as Toph. Just get baby blue contacts and a green/yellow outfit, and a photoshoot. Cause I'm totally not taking my pictures in front of a mirror.

I love cooking, recipe or no recipe.

I'm pretty good at taking whatever we have and making something good out of it. Like, the other day I make this casserole ou of Rice, turkey, onions, cheese, and a bit of BBQ sauce. It was WONDROUS! XD

I want to go to the French Culinary Institue in New York, that's where Bobby Flay went (One of the best chefs ever, and he's an iron chef ).

Well. I'd like to write stories.

But before that, I'll probably wind up in the diplomatic service. My degree is exactly what they want; I'm exactly the kind of person they want. And they pay well, and pay you to see the world.

Either that or I'll do a little journalism. It's something I've always been interested in.

And there's always TEFL (Teach English As A Foreign Language) which I'm already qualified to do (HAHA) if I need a job. Pay's crap, but hey, they've been crying out for people since they started.

Well, I've been thinking for a while what I would want to get into as a career. Ever since Middle School, I've always wanted to do something involving Journalism. Somewhat broadcast but maybe get into sports journalism? Not sure but Psychology has been on my mind as of recently. I've always wanted to help people so that's a possibility in the future.

I don't really have a specific career path, but i do have a lot of things i want to get into. First and foremost is graphics design, since i'm qualified for it and everything, plus i enjoy anything related to graphics including drawing them in the first place haha. I'd prefer to own my own graphics design/web design company in the end, but as long as i'm happy in my job i don't mind that part .

Looking to eventually run a restaurant or a pub/bar of some sort with a friend, since we both enjoy cooking. He's great with customer interaction stuff and i'm better at the business side of things so it should work out well. The only thing we need for this is initial funding haha, which is why i said eventually XD.

There's other things that i'd like to get into aswell, like my friend's dad run's his own Tiling business and once he retires (which shouldn't be too long) my friends going to be pretty screwed trying to get everywhere by himself, especially since he still doesn't have a drivers license. So i'd like to help out with that aswell.

A lot of projects i know, but i like to keep myself busy haha. Graphics and Cooking are the 2 things i enjoy most at the moment, so no doubt i'll have jobs in those fields in the next few years. Anything after that are just dreams, although they are dreams that i think are in the realm of possibility.

There's alot of things I could do, really. Originally I was going to become an actor. Actually, I was an actor when I still lived in Sydney, as a kid. I did stage productions and such. I love acting on the stage. Acting in general.

When we moved, I couldn't find an agent anything like the one I had down there, and I gave it up.

I think at the moment I'm aiming to teach English. Not as a second language, but teaching advanced English/literature for seniors in high school. I really look up to the teacher I have at the moment. She's amazing.

I'd also like to go into psychology somewhere down the line. I've always found it extremely interesting.

I am going to school to teach History. Now, with a graduate degree (or more), I would be able to deal real history - expeditions, studying abroad, etc.

Thats what I am planning on. Right now, I am in undergraduate classes, but I am planning on specializing in the initial Spanish conquest of the Americas. I was going to do the early Roman Republic, but I already know Spanish and Latin is a pain.

Well I'm already a qualified teacher aide, that is what I was planning on doing as my future job but we shall see what happens. I don't have a job currently, I am waiting for the school down the road from me to give me one. I have done a lot of work experience/volunteer work though so yeah. This job has good pay and it can be a very interesting learning experience. I'm currently studying my second year of being a teacher aide, it's all about helping disabled children and such. I haven't decided whether I'm going to work with disabled children or just work at a public school. I will decide that some time in the future. If I was to work with deaf children, I would have to learn sign language! That might help a lot eh?

Well, I've always had a hard time deciding what I'd major in. I've been wanting to major in art for quite awhile, specifically game art and design. But lately, my heart hasn't been in art. I mean, every time I had an art class in school, I'd make awesome friends. It'd be the only class I made the most friends in; also the only subject I always aced in. However, now I consider it a simple hobby.

I want to major in computers because I enjoy helping friends and family solve computer issues. I'd like to know more about computers and how they're put together, that way, I'd be able to fix my own problems with my computer, and get a decent job.

My family owns a tiling business and I must say that it would be a bad decision to go into that business. Tiling is something that you should learn to do for your own home, not someone else's. Tis real back-breaking work. Anyways, we don't need the competition.


I am aspiring to become a professional bowler. Right now I have a personal average of about 220. That needs to be raised about 30 pins. Just today I recieved my first ball that plays good in heavy oil. The professional oil patterns are heavily-oiled. I just have to learn how to use this ball and raise my average and I should be pretty much set. I suppose I have another couple of years until I go pro.

Well, originally I wanted to be either a zoologist or an ornithologist. That was my dream for as long as I can remember. Not so much now. Mainly because you need a degree to do that sort of thing and I don't see myself going to college anytime soon.

Right now, my goal is to be a writer. It's a hard career to get into and even harder to survive on, but it's one of the few things I enjoy. Plus I like to think I'm decent at it, heh. I haven't sold anything yet, though I have done a few submissions.

Right now I'm actually doing research by reading as many books in my genre as I can. When I have the heart for it, I do write but I'm trying to focus on gaining experience in the field. There are thousands of fantasy books out there and I've read only the merest handful of them. I can't even possibly begin to understand the genre with so little insight.

I'm also contemplating freelance, but I find I have the same problem with that as I did with my schoolwork. If it's not interesting, I can't be motivated to do it. I don't think I can manage freelancing for that reason.

Either way, it's something you really have to love to do professionally. It's a long, rough road and only a few can make it into a true career.

I study Japanese and I used to really want to teach English over in Japan. I was going to go for a year as exchange but I didn't want to save. I might save again over the holidays. But when I went to Japan it was really nice and I like the schools there. I also really like languages they interest me. So that is why I chose that one.

- Singer.
Ever since I was little I wanted to be a singer. But not just a random singer. An awesome one that can sing in at least two languages. I can sing. But probably not good enough to make it anywhere. So that is just a hope. Not acutally something I can acheive.

When I was little and for about ten years. I wanted to become a Vet. I liked animals well I still do so I wanted to be it. I still kind of do. But I guess what ever happens, happens.

My dream job would be without a doubt to play music. I felt out for a fewr years what I liked more with instruments. But I think a solid rhythm guitarist would be a damn fine job. Writing songs and being able to play, sure beats the hell out of a real job, not to say its not work...but it has alot more freedom.

I'm studying a foundation degree in Digital Media Arts at the moment, which is basically animation, web design, graphic design, filming and pre-production. I really want to further study animation and either work at an animation studio (preferably working with the now dying-out cells), or doing character and concept design for videogames. I'm a creative person and want to get the most out of my creative abilities for a career.

Since my grandma and mom have both been nurses, I have always seen myself going into the medical field doing something. I majored in biology health professions, and I ended up absolutely hating it. As of right now, I have changed my major to business, so as of right now I want to take a few classes and see what I can do with that. With any luck I'll be able to find something I enjoy doing. I don't want to find myself in school for over 100 years like doctors, and yet I still want to have the potential to make a comfortable salary with the opportunity of being a loving husband/future soccer dad.

I have always wanted to work under a video game company, or if not, I'd love to be a musician or just a programmer.

Music has been a huge part of me ever since I started playing the guitar. So pursuing a career in that field would be nice. Doing what you love doing in front of other people feels great.

Beside that is my career in computers. I love it just as much as I love music. It's already been like a second language to me. So I say I love both! ^^

I find it really hard to decide what I'd like to do! I say one thing one day, and I say another thing another day!

For a long time now, I've wanted to be a teacher, but I think the only reason I want to be one is so that I can work at the school I go to! I really like the place. I'd like to teach Art (because its fun!) or RE (even though I'm not religious, I like learning about other faiths).

I'd like to work in a bar! There is this really nice place a short bus ride from where I live where we go every now and then. Its a shame because I can't stay in there after 6pm seeing as I'm not 18 yet...

I'd LOVE to do a little travelling with a band! Doing equipment checks, set in the place up, getting word out and seeing new places all the time! Pay probably wouldn't be much, but I'd love to have a job thats FUN!

Now, however, I have my heart set on becoming a Games Designer... I have always loved games, and I'd love to be able to work with new technology later on to create works of gaming Art!

There have been many more in the past - when I was little, I really wanted to be a Vet! But... then I saw a rabbit puke, and didn't want to know...

I've always known I've wanted to do something in the field of Science. What exactly I've wanted to be has changed over the years.

Herpetologist
As a child, I was obsessed with snakes. I could, pardon the pun, rattle off the names of quite a few snakes, where they lived, how venomous they were and much more. I still really love snakes, but many facts have now left my mind.

Doctor
I was told I was bright as a child, and should consider Medicine. I did, and the idea appealed to me. I like helping others, it's science oriented and it pays well. Still an option, but 6 years of study, and a prac year sort of deterred me.

Pharmacist
My current ambition. The perfect blend of maths and science. Not one in a store, but in a laboratory. I would like to own my own pharmacy one day, but lab work really appeals to me.

Mining Engineer
I love maths. I'm a maths nerd. Engineering is maths. So I love it. Enough said.

Well, I'm off to University in September to to Geography, and it's something that i've always found fascinating so i'll probably end up on a mountain or something....

Seriously, Volcanology is something i've taken a fancy to recently, and although my course dosn't go into much detail about that area i've always liked the idea of being killed by a rogue lava flow....

I have a few things I'd choose from. Last year, I was totally absorbed with being an artist and designer, but before then I had even more ambitions.

Artist/Printmaker/Ceramics... I don't know why, I've just always loved it.

Surgeon... This is something that I know won't come true now. Not only to the lack of medical schools in my area, but also because I realised that I would have no time for my family. I'm not selfish, but I don't want to work 24/7.

Chef. My other love, cooking. I can bake the best pies you've ever tasted. Barely any of my dishes have ever been a fiasco. I love to cook, and I especially like to bake.

I've honestly had a hard time figuring out what I wanna do ten years from now. For the most part, I wanna write novels and stories as I have a passion for creating refreshing ideas. That and there are so few new books out there that are any original or creative so I feel obligated to change that and inspire other people to dive into new territories of literature. The only thing that's holding me back is my other passion for video game and I've thought of becoming a programmer in creating games for a similar reason I wish to write. Original games that hold the traditional pleasures me and many other old gamers have, while making new games with creative gameplay. Hell, I thought of being a programmer AND a writer so I could write the stories for the games and create unique gameplay, particularly RPGs as I'm tired of cliche-ridden shit fest RPGs that are nothing above average.

So yeah, those two things are on the top of my list. I just need to figure out which one I wish to go for?

I'm pretty sure that I'm going to be an accountant. I've always been good at math and accounting looks interesting. Also I'm interested in learning foreign languages. I'm not really sure how this is going to help me, but they are fun to learn. I still have time to change and I'm also considering other business careers and possibly being an engineer.

One of my friends has dreamed of doing this for years. At one time I wanted to teach English as a secondary language, but I don't think I would be a very good teacher.
