My ancestry stems from Sicilians, and as Sicilian legend has it, the white Sicilian stems from the Vikings, being shipwrecked and forced to live in Sicily. Before the Vikings got there, everybody in Sicily was black, from Africa, so I guess that's my dark side, even though I can't exactly see a dark side considering that my ancestors haven't been black for over a thousand years.

First of all, I don't believe people being 'emos' has much to do with someone's dark side.

And second of all, sure I have a dark side. There are times when I'm thinking of totally fucked up shit. Even though I'm a person who believes in peace and love, I can be extremely cynical too.

Also, if being depressed is somewhat related to having a 'dark side', I guess I'm pretty dark in a way. Thinking is the devil sometimes.

I'm a pretty demented person and I laugh at a lot of things that shouldn't be joked about. I also have a tendency to make folly on a lot of things (tff obviously included) and seem to get in trouble about it as well, so I have a dark demented side devoted to mischief. Other than that I really don't have an "emo" side so to speak, but I definitely have a dark, sinister evil self though.

Yeah, it's pretty safe to say I have a dark side. Not in the emo, "I'm gonna hide in the basement and put on makeup and my sisters pants" dark, but moreso in the things I think from time to time.

Like Rocky, I enjoy being mischievous and causing some trouble now and then. It's all in good fun.

Worse yet would be my temper... better yet, lets just call it rage. It's pretty off-putting and it can scare people when I get really really pissed off. It's rare, but it'll even surprise people who've known me for years. Case in point, the last fight I was in, it took 5 people to pull me off of the kid.

I have my dark days, sure, depression aside, I'm cynical as all shit, I'm generally an asshole, I put on a facade most of the time of trying to be a badass, I revel in correcting people, and am, overall, a ****, a douche, a... whatever other slew of words one can come up with to describe my nature.

I agree that everyone has a dark side. I have dark sinful thoughts at times. Whether it's one of my phobias, my tendency to be cynical, or temptation of the skin, I tend to come across the darkness inside of me on a daily basis. I have learned with age how to turn it off. When faced with my phobias I try to go to a happier place in my head. When I am being extremely cynical I try to remind myself that we are all human. When I am faced with a sexual temptation I remind myself how lucky I am to have the husband I do, and he has helped me through it as well by giving me some slack. Such as being allowed to flirt online without web cams involved or dirty pics, and he also allows me to go out without him an receive drinks from men so long as I see them being poured, never give out my number, and that I am always escorted by a trusting person.

Nah, I agree with basically everyone that everyone has a dark side. I wouldn't ever deny that I have one. There is at least one situation each week in which I think that I definitely have a pitch black side. xD" Sometimes I really wish that someone would fall ill or something like that. I think that there are many sides that make me who I am, so yeah I have some "darkness", but I don't really consider myself a dark person.

I really don't know. I guess if I'm having a bad day or something, I get moody, but I don't let the things I watch or listen to leave those sort of impressions on my mind.

Do you listen to dark music or watch dark films?

Not really. I like watching animated films, and most of those aren't what I would consider "dark". I love Tim Burton though, and his stuff can be pretty dark and twisted, but that's his style. I think of him as more "unique" than "dark" though.

As for music, I don't think the music I listen to is all that dark. Yeah, I listen to metal and hard rock sometimes, but I get caught up in the riffs than I do the lyrics.

I don't really write any poetry. I never really got the hang of it. I can make stuff rhyme, but it's nothing that I would consider gothic or emo.

In all honesty, the only thing I really consider dark about myself is my love for antagonists in the stories, games, movies, and other stuff where there is a conflict between people. I find most to be more interesting than the protaganists.

I do have a bit of a disturbingly creepy streak, but that's completely ficticious, i.e not part of my personality but a product of intentional imagination, so it's argueable if that counts. Actually I dont think being "goth" or "emo" is technically dark and I dont think waching movies or "dark" music is "dark"
I consider "darkness" more along the lines of Un-friendly or un-kind thoughts or actions like imagining hurting someone or being a bully to someone....I think everyone has a dark side and so do I ...My nickname at work is Sybil...everyone has a trigger it just depend what yours happens to be.

But I have a dark side and I believe that everyone has a dark side. I'll admit that I have a problem holding things in. It's not so much of a trust thing it's just I'm used to being a private person.

But put it this way. If I ever had a gun in my hand and someone really pushed me over to the edge. I wouldn't shoot you in the head. I wouldn't shoot you in the neck. Better yet, I'd shoot you right in the fucking leg and make you suffer slowly as you fall on the ground helpless. Then I'd play some death metal (Dismember? Morbid Angel? Bloodbath maybe?) very loud and get out the ol' baseball bat and knock out all of your teeth. Then I'd make a little necklace around it while smeared in your blood and strangle you with it.

Damn and I was hoping to read some ****ed up stuff here and outside of a few posts I am seriously let down. Fish you rock and Tenseiken you can send that monthly present back to the darkest depths of hell haha.

To start off I have no clue as to what music you listen to or what you read or watch can actually be used as a gauge to how "dark" someone is besides fitting a trendsetting stereotype. Look at Ted Bundy for instance, he didn't listen to metal or read Anne Rice and look how ****ed up and dark he was.

Lets see; this one is a little known fact about me that few know. I have a high curisosity twards death and gore. I am intrigued by it and have spent many of years as an active member / staff at a once very active webforum dedicated to the topic.

Also along the lines of what Rocky said, my sence of humor can be pretty dark (almost oblique ) at times and I come up with jokes that for some reason are only halarious to myself and tend to offend some people.

As for the anger side of things that Pete mentioned, I don't get enraged that often and it takes a pretty bad situation for me to get really pissed off but even then I still have full control most of the time. Everyonce in a while I am known to fly off the handle though and have a habit of punching inanimate objects. I really don't have a preference as long as it it is between myself and my fist (thank god I still can restrain myself not to hit people). But all in all I have broken many of knuckles due to these little fits of rage.

And lastly I am obcessed with sex! Can't keep my mind off of the topic. Oh wait, that is not a dark side haha that is just part of being a man / human!

Holy S***. Remind me not to F*** with you.. I'm not sure if that is dark or not. I think that is a little more on the cruel, torturous side of it. Although I suppose that could be somhow translated into being dark. I don't think I am that dark of a person. Of course I have my moments where I feel like I want to kill someone in a very brutal way, But I don't think that means that I am a dark person. I listin to Screamo, meatal and whatnot, But I'm not a dark person. I suppose I can be dark at moments but I'm generally not. In my opinion that is. And I agree with Meier Link. I was looking to read some F*****up S*** on here. Fish's response would take it so far, but I think there are more people out there that would do the same or worse than him. Come on people. This thread is dissapointing. With the exception of Fish's post I don't see much darkness. Now personally if we didn't have these annoying things called laws I'd have certain inviduals strung up in a basement and I'd be flipflopping between interrogation style psychological abuse and playing amatuer surgeon. And I expect an idignant, "they would off a crazy like you first" comment and I'd just like to make it clear that I am aware in a lawless senario I would be dead if I wasn't sneaky enough. But sadly public order isn't vanishing any time soon so all I can do is look at the infectious human waste and imagine how much more pleasent and agreeable they would be with their liver exposed.

Personally my belief is humans are for the most part just meatsacks, no more, no less. The only people I really give a shit about are a few friends and family, I only consider the rest of the world in their use to me. If they have no use to me,to hell with em.
