Alright, I've got a whole list of really terrible things to smell and I wanted to get a list of which you thought were the top 10 WORST of all. Feel free to add some in if you think I've missed something, but here's the ones I came up with, followed by my top 10.

My Top 10 Worst Smells From This List:
Dumpster, Severe Bad Breath, Mold, Poop, Rancid Meat, Rotten Eggs, State Urine, Sewage Plants, The Soupy Moldy Growth On Old Dirty Dishes, And Spoiled Milk.

Hydrogen sulfide smells of rotten eggs. That's a rather bad odor.

Hydrogen cyanide has the faint smell of almonds. Although that may not be an unpleasant odor, it's one of the worst smells ever, since moments after smelling it, you get cyanide poisoning and die.

Butryric acid smells of rancid butter.

Some other chemicals with really disgusting odors are sulfur dioxide, methyl mercaptan, phenyl isocyanide, phenyl acetic acid, ammonia, and the majority of alkenes.

Agreed with Clint Eastwood. Any compound with a Benzene ring. They suck. Just TRY that industrial detarnisher out on those old silver silverware. Holy jezus, the worst smell ever by far.

My grandmother was in the hospital once to get a surgery and then a wound vac in because a previous surgery hadn't healed properly and the skin in her stomach around the previous incision was rotting away.

That smell sucked so bad.

I second that. Rotting flesh is probably THE worst thing I've ever smelled.

A few years ago my mum complained of a smell coming from my room, describing it as 'the worst smell she's ever smelt'. But alas I didn't smell anything. We discovered a pool of dried, sticky puke that had been there for 2 months at least and also a pool of red, which I had no doubt was red wine but I'd not been able to smell it, maybe I'd gotten used to the smell? And I have to say for the record I was a big drinker when I was in my teens.

I will add these trees, that I do not remember their names, that give off a very foul stench when the bloom. It is not pleasant to for my nose to be bombarded with such a yucky smell.

Also during trash days during the summer sometimes a combo of the heat plus the trash collected in the trash collector gives off a putrid odor as well.

For me, its cigarette smoke. X_X yuck. And yes old lady perfume gives me bad headaches. Though, I think my crotch smells pretty good, just saying. I do some manscaping to keep myself as clean and fresh to def. werd up nignogs

Ah yes, the disgusting skunk musk. Or as they're better known as, thiols. Two compounds responsible for the strong smell are butene-1-thiol and methy-1-butanethiol, which spray out of the skunk's funky butthole.

Skunk is up there, but a really bad one is, and I mean no offense to anyone, but Indian people (7-11, not casino) working out at the gym.

The combination of that curry smell, and body odor, maginfied by constant motion of exercise, and in close proximity to me, is absolutely disgusting.

Old people. I don't know why, but older people have that distinctive smell. It's not overly terrible, unless they're having bowel control problems, but it's not the loveliest smell ever. Using the same old lump of soap for your weekly bath, deciding that you're that old, it no matters how much care you put into brushing your teeth, sitting around 24/7... Sometimes it is comforting though, if you have an older relative that you've bonded with.

Also, I'm probably the only fool has done this, but anyone ever left your swimming bag in a corner somewhere, and forgot to get your swimming gear cleaned? It was a strong smell of damp and chlorine when I found my bag a week after I'd been swimming. ><

OH. Old milk. ****ing seriously. It smells like baby vomit (which is gross anyway). I do the recycling as one of my chores here, and I once made the mistake of opening an old milk bottle to flatten it; instead, I just pushed the stale, disgusting air out of it and into my nose, and I almost puked all over the kitchen. I'll never make that mistake again.

I agree with all else on this list though. I hate the smell of cigarettes. My mom smokes and I need to walk out of the room sometimes. I also don't like smoke breathe. If a boyfriend has smoked before we make out, It's a complete turn-off.

On a personal note, I don't like the smell of peanut butter. It might be because I've been allergic to it since I was 4. It makes me sick to my stomach.

Cigarettes are hit & miss. They're funny, because some people really really hate it, and others very much enjoy it. It's one of those weird things that make you realize that it's true that not everybody is the same.
