    Wireless Earpieces

Moratrolla , Samsung, LG, Nokia get em free and cheap!

Ok now that I have your attention I will actually get to the point of this thread which has nothing to do with the opening line.

I recently picked up a LG Xenon, great phone by the way, and decided on holding off on purchasing the compatible ear buds to listen to MP3s for the sole reason I knew my wife had a SouthWing wireless head set. It is a given that the MP3 sounds are going to sound like crap because lets face it, the ear piece is for calls and not music.

But more to the point, I was at work yesterday and decided to Bluetooth the device and listen to some music (strangely uncomfortable at first, but handy at the same time) when I started noticing people looking at me like I was crazy for wearing it around. Now keep in mind it is not against company policy to use one of these devices.

Later in the day I stopped one of the people that gave me the odd look and asked them why they had done so. They responded “Who do you think you are walking around all high and mighty with your nifty ear piece! You don’t even see the president with one of those things hanging off the side of his head.” I informed him of what I was using it for and we actually got a good laugh out of it.

Later in the day I went to lunch with a friend that I work with and before we even got out of the building he made comment that if he was going to go to lunch with me that I would have to take it out, I was already in the process of doing so when he made the comment.

So my question is; what do you think about these kinds of devices?

If you think negatively of them, why do you think that way?

If you are supportive of them, do you use them?

I have actually found it to be beneficial while driving; it lets me keep my hands off of my phone and on the wheel, which is always a plus. Plus as of now it is the only way to listen to music with out using the phones speaker which is nice.

Wireless earpieces are good fun. But I too notice the looks people give you when you use them <_<.
Just yesterday I was in the shops and I saw a lady using her wireless earpiece while on the phone. To me it seemed pratical and real handy. Nothing worse than when you have to adjust your phone so it's locked into your shoulder so you can use both hands. But all the time she was gabbling on people were staring at her disapprovingly. Jealous I expect ^~.
But I support the devices, and I'm truly tempted in picking one up for myself. Listening to music that way is genius x3.
I think people still need to 'adjust' to the idea of these. Okay admittedly it looks like you may be trying to impersonate a secret agent or something (I dunno <_<) but fact is they are handy. They serve well. Not to mention they're not exactly eye candy... Those are the only reasons I can think to why people are so hostile towards them =o.o=

    In short:

I think these devices are great. They can be of great help in many a situation - driving, shopping, listening to music etc.

Yes I am supportive, but I don't use one. Yet.

    Following the path for truth...

    and ending the dream.

Wireless earpieces are as bad, if not worse, than those damn cell phones. You put the thing in your ear, without a phone in sight, and instead of it looking like the person is talking on the phone, it just looks like the person is a psychopath talking to his or her self. They were invented so that people could talk on the phone anywhere without having to hoist the body of the phone up to their ear, but why does anybody really need to talk on the phone while driving, or shopping, or in the God damn movie theater? What is so important that these people need to say that they have to talk on the phone all day while they're out?

In my opinion, those wireless headsets are just as stupid as text messaging.

I prefer text messaging to talking, so I don't need one.

They are handly little devices, but you don't need them all the time. I understand that you could use them to listen to music, but there are special headsets you can get to listen to music without wires.
