People actually find South Parks political satire funny? I found it tedious and annoying to watch but for me personally I hate politics in my entertainment mostly due to the fact that it's one sided. The older South Park before they started riding the current trends train was amusing to watch.

Also Humor is subjective and depends on my mood. Sometimes I might watch something and laugh a little inside then other times I'll watch the same kind of joke and start giggling like a little girl~

Though I do have to agree I think slapstick can stand the test of time as it doesn't rely on knowing current trends so long as you know the language. Puns and word play is funny if done right but people won't even realize its there if they don't speak the language.
