At least you haz something. I would be stoked to work at Barns and Noble. Normally, I work retail at Vans but their pay is super shite unless you're full time worker and I can't do that right now with school and all.
I might try and apply at a bigger store when I have more mobility, I like jobs where I have to interact with people anyway. I might still be offered another job but it's my last resort really.
I'm okay with being a bum for now but come next season I probably won't be able to be just a random traveling, school gypsy anymore

^ Well every time I did work, they were 4 hour shifts and like once or twice a week. On top of that our store was small and there were about 26 people working there that needed to be cycled through. Hours were based on how much you sold during your shifts etc. so that kind of farks part time workers over. I was probably top seller the first week I ever worked and that was only because it was the same week as Black Friday (10 hour shift) and then we had a sale day (8 hour), so yeah...no way to really get more hours.
I'm that cool lunc dude at the elementary school. I am a Substitute Food Handler for Las Vegas school district. It's not bad. Boring though. The people are cool though, some of the teachers are nice to talk to. The nurse is cute too.

I am a computer engineer for the United States Marine Corp. I am currently stationed at Fort Knox, and am working side by side with the U.S. Army.
On the side I am a Shift Manager at my local McDonald's. It isn't the funnest of jobs, but it is decent money for the small amount of work that I actually do.
I'm a third year university student, studying towards a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Public Policy (double major, with Public Policy as a 'non-science major', which saves me taking a double degree).
Not sure what to do with it when I'm finished. I managed to earn a post-graduate invitation in my second year, which I understand is quite unusual. Good though, as it gives me a chance to consider whether or not I want to continue studying or look for work.
I'd prefer work in the public sector, ideally in a research capacity. I'm keeping my options open, studying a broad range of subjects from Advanced Statistics to French, while still fulfilling the requirements for my majors.
I work part time in order to afford a social life, working in a cashier/administration position in a local supermarket. The pay is greater than minimum wage, which is already fairly adequate, so I do pretty well unless I pass my shifts off to colleagues.

I'm a major Hollywood actor when I'm pretending to be the real Clint Eastwood, but on the side, I get paid to take various famous pictures, and insert retired professional wrestler Macho Man Randy Savage into them. Kind of like this.
It's amazing what stupid crap people will pay for.

I'm studying at university - and I'm gonna be the worst nightmare of all students....... okay, I'm gonna be a teacher.
I'll teach Maths and English - and probably Religion as well, as I am currently thinking about studying it as well. I'm not quite sure about that, but it seems there'll be no other way. (I don't want to regret not doing it in a couple of years saying "What would've been IF I HAD done it?" etc. I don't like regretting ANYTHING. ^^")

I work in a customer service call centre for a large plant and seed firm. I take orders for plants and stuff over the phone, and also help people if they have problemsor questions about their orders. It's kind of fun actually, you get to talk to some interesting people over the phone. Pay is good too, even though I am only a 3 day a week casual.
Part time college student, technically in General Studies but actually doing Computer Forensics at the moment. May change in the next semester or two.
I also work full time as a photo tech for a large chain pharmacy retailer. Terrible job but I need to pay the bills somehow. It's actually what inspired me to get my butt back in school, cause I can't stand working retail anymore. Time to get a real job.

Right now I work at PC World as a sales advisor. Possibly one of the most boring things I've ever done but the people are awesome and the pay is decent enough to live on... Can't say fairer than that. We do get a bonus but it's too poor and difficult to get to mention here.
Also, does The Clint Eastwood only spout spam sarcasm? If so then... Cool.

I have been looking really hard for work but it is damn slow everywhere especially where I live which is in a small town called Red Bluff in Northern California. Man I have applied at so much places without much luck. However when work is going good for my bro and he needs some extra help I work with him in construction jobs for private people or the Good News Rescue Mission. I have helped build fences, decks, helped lay concrete did many roofing jobs and remodel jobs etc. I don't like construction work though but it is way better than nothing at all. I am going to go back to college and most likely get my Nurses Aide/Home Health Aide certificate because caring for helpless people that need me would be rewarding to my soul.
I work as a regular Crew Member at McDonalds, occasionally working the dining area, but mainly I work the drive-thru, either taking orders outside or using the till inside. I have just had three months off due to breaking my leg at the work's Christmas party, and just returned last Thursday. It's still sore, so I'm only doing 5-6 hours at a time.
Hopefully, though, I'll have a new job soon, as I have an interview on Monday. If I don't get that I will ask about going for staff trainer. I need more practice in the kitchen for this, but I can pick that up within a month or two.

hmm... i work at the GLAD manufacturing plant in arkansas... Easiest job ive ever had. and best pay(ill get my first raise in a few months which will put me at 17.30 per hr but now im at 15.34 per hour @ 80 hours every 2 weeks). specifically what i do is run an extrusion process which takes little plastic pellets and melt/mix them with scented resin and make a continus folded sheet of plastic rolled up similar to a toilet paper roll.. exept its about anywhere from 750 to 1200 pounds.... then i have it sent off... next is the bagging process in which a bag machine unrolls this sheet and seals edges and implants red drawstring tape at the non folded end which makes a glad trash bag with fabreeze odershield scent..
Im currently in training to be an Electronics Technician Nav for submarines. I'll work with circuitry and electronics with repairs, rewiring and adjusting, I'll also do network analysis, network setups, and I'm learning the navigation part of my rate currently. I'm the one to plot courses on where the submarine goes, I drive the boat, and I keep track of the charts and graphs.
It's a very in depth rate, and I'm loving it so far.
Proud to be in the United States Navy.

I drive a pickup truck for an engineering/ testing company. I basically go from site to site picking up various samples and materials like concrete, mortar, and soil, and bring them back to our labs, where the lab techs test them and determine if they're good enough to be used for whatever the project is. It's an easy job, I make my own schedule and I get paid pretty well. Granted, it's not my ideal, since I'm also applying for the police and court officer.
