My father is the chief justice, He working in the Green Area all the time..

My mother is currently without any job, She simply can't go out home...

My father is retired from the Military and works at a VA hospital. My mother is a bookeeper. Nothing too exciting, they both like there jobs, and both make alright money but nothing fantastic.

My father is a demolition site manager. He tears down buildings for a living, but tries to keep away from using explosives and dangerous methods of doing so.

My mother is a recruitment officer at a leading supermarket company. She's climbed the ladder to this point, but has decided just lately to step down and join a car company dealing with Bentleys, Jaguars and Landrovers.

Both of my parents have pretty good, well-paying jobs. Like most others, though, neither of them wish they HAD to work.

My father is a PhD specializing in Abnormal Psychopathology.

My Mother is an RRT or Registered Respiratory Therapist.

I really have nothing to say about them. They are who they are and I couldn't careless.

Dad is a psychiatrist (not to be confused with psychologist. He has an MD) and specializes in geriatric psychiatry. Though, he used to work in the ER with crazy people of all ages. He's on call like... every other weekend. And unless he's stepped down, I believe he's the head of geriatric psychiatry in his hospital.

Mom is a developmental pediatrician. She works with autistic children and ignorant parents all day long. I think at one point she used to enjoy her job... and I'm sure she still loves the kids... but she has a lot of complaints with the current medical system.

You'd think that with this background, I'd be leaning towards a medical degree. For a while, I thought I would be a doctor. But I think I'd rather just play one on TV.

My mum's as of recently unemployed.
My dad's doing manual work, casual manual work. He basically puts together basic components to make breaker circuits for air conditioners.
And I work wherever I can on new housing developments and other places they'd give an unskilled labourer a go. The beauty is I make a good buck and my work hours are far from restrictive. If I want a date free, I just don't seek any work, and I'll only work if the pay is good for that particular job.
And I'm also capable of computer maintenance and several 'odd jobs' if required.

My mom is some sort of inspector for industrial waste management. She does something with lots of reports and something to do with levels of waste permitted in certain places. If you know what that is, please tell me.

I have no clue what my dad does and don't care. I think he's retired by now...

My mom works as an assistant or some office. I have the card somewhere my messy room of mine, but she does a lot of paperwork!! She leaves at 6 A.M. and comes around 5 P.M. or so depending or traffic and stuff. Sometimes she's work overtime and come home a little later though. She used to do that a lot but not anymore.

My dad on the other hand had a job in construction for a while. Before I was born, my dad got in an "accident" and he was unable to work because he became handicap. Basically he can't move his left hand and since he was a lefty, it was hard for him to do things at first. (Writing, Picking up forks, etc.) But he tried going back into work a couple years ago and had to stop working for his health earlier this year. So he's basically retired.

Wow, I'm surprised that a lot of parents here are involved in the medical/healthcare area. That's pretty cool. My mother wanted to be a midwife at one point.

My mum works in my Grandad's butcher shop: she does the secretary work, makes the pies and faggots, and works behind the till and does the washing up. She's probably the most diverse worker there, and even helps out in the fishmongers (which my Grandad also owns) when nobody else can. She used to do bar work and is a great hairdresser for friends and family (nothing to do with working in the butcher shop- she went to hairdressing college!).

My dad works in construction and loathes it, but is good at his job.

As for me... i'm a student, but will be getting a part-time job when I am at university. I hope to get in on the animation industry!

My mom works on a military base as a day care worker. She watches 12 to 18 month old babies for the families of soldiers. My dad is a deputy sheriff and works at the jail watching the inmates. I like going to the shooting range with him.

My father works as an on-site scaffolder in a huge chemical plant that makes vitamin C and bunch of runoff chemicals. He brings home gas masks and body suits that keep you alive in temperatures of 200 oC once the plant has no more use for them.

My mother doesn't have a job at the moment. She does temp Admin work, mostly as a PA, or other interesting things like system administration.

I was a full time volunteer for the British Red Cross until about a week ago. Had to jack it in, since I'm moving quite a bit away for Uni.

My dad is a Mechanical Engineer. He's currently a manager for a retailer here. My mother is an MCom and an MEd, currently a teacher. I'm bugging her to go get her pHd. I'm a student and will soon be starting in project management in one of the big4 banks of Aust.

My father's a mechanic, and has been one since he was 15 years old. He's 50 now. He's worked for gas stations, dealerships, and work shops throughout the years. He's with NTB (National Tire & Battery) which is a subdivision of Tire Kingdom -- it used to be NTW owned by Sears until the subsidiary was bought out. In any case, he makes pretty decent money. He used to make a lot more back when the shop was NTW -- Sears would pay hourly PLUS commission, which is the best way to work. Once Tire Kingdom took over, they cut the hourly and he's paid strictly on commission. It's a pain in the ass when there's no business, because I find myself paying some of the bills sometimes.

My mother was an accountant for years, but after a pretty long stretch without work, she's found herself working at a small ice cream chain called Bruster's. It's primarily out on the east coast, but they have two stores in Texas (one here in Arlington and one down in Houston) and they're planning on a third one somewhere in the state in the near future. She's a part-time manager and the only certified ice cream maker in the shop (which basically means she's the only one who did the little school and can be considered "fully" trained). The pay isn't so great, but at least it's something, and she likes her work.

As for me, I'm in sales. It's something people have been telling me I should do since I was five. I wanted to be a veterinarian for years, but I realized that I don't have the stomach for it.

My mom's a lead pharmacy technician. She basically keeps the pharmacy running smoothly. She's not a pharmacist but she knows quite a bit about medications just from working there. She has a degree in accounting and I'm sure she could have been a pharmacist at some point but it costs a lot, takes about 8 years of schooling, and her arthritis is very bad and getting worse. Most likely she'll have to go out on permanent disability in the next few years. She likes her job, though it can be stressful.

And, believe it or not, we both work at the same store. I'm not a tech though, I'm a front grunt. XD When they finish building our new store I might try to get training as a photo tech. I could theoretically go into management if I wanted to but I don't. Not yet, anyways. It's a tough job to have for someone like me, cause I don't do too well when it comes to dealing with people.

As for my father, I don't know and I don't particularly care. Last I heard he was still unemployed. He got laid off from Lucent Technologies years ago when they went under. My parents divorced eight years ago and I haven't spoken to or seen my father in about four years.

My mom's fiance Joe is a window washer. He took over the business when his father retired. He has no employees or anything. He drives from store to store, washing windows and vacuuming and such. Sometimes he comes by and does our store when Scott the boss-man asks. Usually when the big wigs are scheduled to do a visit, or when the serial cheeser strikes. (Dunno who he is but a couple times a year someone picks a hot steamy day and throws a piece of that sticky yellow cheese on an outside window so it melts and adheres to the glass like glue. Gross.)

well my parents job was just so simple:

My dad is an electroplating technician... he actually learned how to do it with his dad long ago and they built a small shop for that. He is also a gun specialist... he met a lot of people who are doing gunsmitting (i don't know the exact spelling hehehe) anyways he can make your guns so good and presentable... he can also recommend you which where to buy good guns so that's his job

about my mom? well she just a house wife... though she just stayed home i'm still proud of her.. she always takes good care of us with my 3 brothers and a sister... she never leave us alone until we grew up...

My mom is an RN(registered nurse) She works in the emergency room and shes been doing that for years ever she got out of nusing school,she did apply for a job in the OR(operating room) but didnt get it,she is starting to really dislike the ER because the new nursing stuff she hates and just thinks they should be doing everything "the old way" and my dad was a nurse in a hospice last time i heard i doubt he still has that job that was when i was little and my parents have been divorced for like 10 years and i havent heard form him in like 5.

My father.. Does something for CSR. They make bricks, basically. I'm not sure exactly of my father's position, but I do know that he was Raw Materials Manager for quite a while.

My dad is a computer programmer and he works out at a power plant for PNM. He has to do a lot of stuff like fix computers, phones and whatnot. He is getting quite sick and tired of people at his work because they can't seem to do the simple stuff so they need his help in order to get done. He does show them how to do it then they forget about it and call him again...what n00bz...

My stepmom is working at some place that I haven't seen or heard of at all. It's just a temp job for her and it could be a full time job here soon.
