My father, god love him, he had me tested properly without the bell curve and I tested at a ratio IQ a little bit above 160.

It was an enormous pain in the ass, like chinese water torture.

Anyway, everbody was, supposedly, really impressed and it made the local tiny town trumpeter front page. We held a small party and embarrased the hell out of me in inventive and multiple ways...

I don't know if I really believe in any of it. I know the theory behind it and I personally think it's a tad rocky...Imo

Sorry, I don't like IQ tests- they straight-jacket people's expectations and are quite unrealistic, but if you must know, i am 42 and last time i was tested it was 192.

I'm not a fan of IQ tests either, I have never been tested properly but I have done a few online tests and they come up with a very different result every time. I'm sure they aren't very accurate but they're just a bit of fun. I tested myself a couple of months ago and got around 118 or something which isn't that great. That was on that Tickle site, it even said I was a genius at math which is complete bullshit. I totally failed math all through high school because I found it to be difficult and stupid. It also said that I would become a good architect or something, don't make me laugh.

IQ tests are just stupid in my opinion, every body is smart in their own special way. Everybody has their own special talents and ideas about everything. Showing off your IQ to everybody is lame in my opinion, people who do that just want to make other's feel dumb or stupid. I don't find myself to be very bright but I don't really care, what matters is that I try very hard at everything I do. I don't have to be highly intelligent to live my life.

I don't think IQ determines whether you are a dumbass or a knowledgeable person. IQ tests are merely a test on specific questions. The only true meaning of IQ tests are if it is done correctly using a ide range of questions, a timer and a specific calculation.

Even so, it still meas little. After all, life is about what you have to learn, not what you have learned...

Don't worry Storm, I got 118 but think it's a load of shit anyway. I highly doubt that a test online is going to be accurate. I know mine wasn't since I'm a genius at math apparently. I got a report back from that site telling me all of this mumbo jumbo about how creative I am. The math thing is not accurate at all because I failed math in high school lol. I failed it so bad!

What's the big deal about IQ's? Like I already said, everybody has their own special talents. You don't have to be highly intelligent to live your life, just knowing the simple things can get you a good job and such. They're not very important to me.

I wouldn't take another IQ test if they gave me a free car. Smart I may or may not be, but I am predictably lazy when it comes to extra stuff like taking an IQ test...

I know that this is quiz is inaccurate. I took an Offical I.Q. test a few months ago and got a 186. The one where your hooked up to electrodes and stuff as you take the test. It was kinda weird.

Different IQ tests yield different test scores, and they tend to measure analytical intelligence rather than practical (and creative) intelligence, so these numbers shouldn’t be taken too seriously. I'm not going to do the tickle/internet IQ test, so I just say what the result from my last testing was: between 161 and 181 (done around 18 months ago). I won't say exactly where I am, but I'm somewhere in those figures.

Also, it's worth keeping in mind that a valid result is only found when the test is administered by a psychometrician, i.e. the results of "on-line IQ tests" should be viewed with extreme jaundice (most appear to be very generous). There are a number of ways in which one can increase their intelligence, from reading to listening to certain types of music.

I didn't take the little quiz or test, but the last time I took one of those, I remember getting an IQ score of 123. It's probably not accurate or anywhere near accurate, but that's what I got. 123...is that average or lower? It seems like lower than most of the people's here, but that doesn't matter. If I were to take a proper IQ test with all that jazz, the score I got would probably go down. I don't think I believe in IQ though. Being smart means different things to different people, so I won't be discouraged by my low score. ^^
