Do you use them?

I went to Petco today to buy my birds food and other knickknacks, and I realized that every time I go to there or Michael' s (an art supply store) I always get discount coupons with my receipt. I took the time to thoroughly examine mine today, and I get a 2 free meals at a fat food (aka fast food) place, another free buffet at another for 2 people, a large Pizza, and a half off on another (so they read as long as they're presented before the expiration date.) I've never tried using these types of coupons before, but I my dad used to be a big collector when I was small. He even had one of those mini coupon filing books bahah.

The only ones I've attempted to use were the "Holloween" coupon books that they hand out. They're awesome and they work. I just waltz in and get a free bean and cheese burrito "extra cheese biznatch."

I'll use them if I think the deal is worth it. I used to work at a grocery store. I'd use the coupons if the item that had a coupon to go with it was already on sale so I'd save more. Other then that I don't really collect them. I'm too lazy for that.

Now I don't, but when I was living on my own I was the coupon QUEEN. I had a little pocket binder to organize them all and I'd keep it in my giant purse like an old lady

But then it became a problem because I kept on getting coupons for Breyer's ice cream for two dollars for like, a month straight. I ate ice cream twice a day for a whole month. D:

I don't like coupons. They give me attitude. They're smug, and they smell of pure bullshit.

Even though my personal opinion about coupons is rather negative, they save me money when buying things, so I use them.

I essentially made a pact with coupons. They will get used as long as they don't talk back to me. If they do talk back, they get to say hello to Mr. Shredder. And I'm not talking about the bad guy from the Ninja Turtles. I'm talking about a paper shredder, which is a machine that shreds paper, and not a paper version of the bad guy from the Ninja Turtles.

This reminds me of Hawaii. The living expenses are pretty high. I had the pleasure of meeting the two owners of the magizine Women's Surfer. This was back when I still did sound engineering/tech. They told be that many people end up going to the Costco in Hawaii.

Instead of buying with paper Gypsy magic, you have a membership card and can purchase by bulk. I should probably look those guys up. That would be nice, but I digress. Usually the easiest is having the keychain copy for your coupon needs. It's Gypsy magic that is even better than making the moon look like Ernest Borgnine.

Sometimes I will. Every now and then, we'll have them posted through our letterbox, but mainly for McDonalds and Burger King. Both of which we don't have that close to my house, so we don't really use them.

Subway used to give them out to me and my friends whenever they had some, and I did use those. Poor, college software developer students needs a lunch and stay healthy-ish at the same time. Sub of the day with a coupon to make it a meal for free? Cookie or crisps and a drink? Why not?

My nan has a thing about collecting them from certain stores around Christmas time. If you collect like... forty or something, you get something like £30 off your Christmas dinner shop or whatever. What she doesn't realise is that in order to get the £30 off your Christmas dinner, you have to spend a few hundred £ in the store in the weeks running up to Christmas. =/

Every time I go shopping (which isn't often) I always bring coupons, In the long run, you can save so much money. So what if you saved 50 cents, lots of coupons together you save a lot of money.

I have used maybe 4 coupons like ever. Mostly because 80% of the coupons I've ever come across are for things that I don't buy, but also because the ones for stuff I do purchase require you to buy more than one of the product to receive some minimal ($1 off) discount.

I don't use coupons, but I have those in-store savings cards for my grocery stores. Most of the time, I'll just buy simple things that I need, but every now and then, there's a ridiculous deal on something, like 5 boxes of Special K cereal for 10 bucks. I'll totally be that guy and go to the store 3 times that week to stock up.

As for paper coupons, meh. My grandma used to cut out everything, and buy random shit just because she had a coupon for it.

We don't have coupons here, there are shopping cards but they're not worth the trouble. The only way to save some money is to buy merchandise with bargain labels on them or those of lower quality. Strangely enough, my father does all the shopping, he knows where to look for certain items, and what kind of bargains each shop offers.
