I basically make sure buildings don't fall down. It's a lot of verifying that what happens on the job site is what the plans and drawings show. Depending on the day and my mood, I get to be both good and bad cop. Sometimes both at the same time. I also enjoy playing dumb, letting a contractor lie to my face, then making them redo everything. They learn pretty quickly
