My state is guilty of Air Pollution and yes I agree hugely. @_@ It's what we're known for. Lol. I think North Cali isn't as bad though.
Well, as a New Yorker, I must admit that my commute is absolute shit. The major thing though, is that the commute only really, really sucks for the lower 10% of the state, since about 60% of the population lives there. It's generally smooth sailing amongst the rest of the state, since the population is very scattered and widespread.
The biggest problem that I personally run into is stupidity. People usually make the same commute daily, so you'd have to assume that you'd run into the same peril(s) daily. That giant glowing orb in the sky happens to be one. Why not wear sunglasses while driving, instead of squinting and going 4mph?
That, and merging is considered an impossible skill, right up there with raising the dead, or pronouncing Long Island town names properly on the first try. Massapequa, Hauppauge, Ronkonkoma, Patchogue, Quogue.

You're welcome, Wisconsin.
Let's go into the "archives" in "Washington D.C." and find out how people "masturbated" in the "roaring 20's."

Haha highest cancer death ftw, lol.
I was born in Louisiana most Gonorrhea haha damn sucks for me lol.
Someone stop me if I ever wanna go to South Dakota.
Why would anyone ever go to South Dakota
And don't say Mount Rushmore, because I have it on good authority that the heads don't actually talk and have bird eating contests.
There is nothing good about South Dakota.

Michiganian, and yes, unemployment is a huge problem. Can't find a job anywhere... at least not one that'll last. =/
But, on the flip side, we have decent summers, yet horrible winters. Or would you call that a double-edge sword?

Female criminals? I guess the male cops have a hard time arresting them. Or have a good time doing so. Or both.
Come on, we're in the middle of Tornado Alley! Screw Illinois, OK gets a lot of tornadoes. In fact, I'm not looking forward to Spring.

It says Delaware has the highest abortion rate, so it's a good thing I'm not a woman, because that statistic therefore doesn't apply to me.
Abortion is legal in the state of Delaware, so that statistic doesn't matter much. The most horrendous thing about Delaware is DuPont. DuPont is currently the largest producer of air pollutants in the entire United States; not to mention that they spent the majority of the 40's, 50's, and 60's dumping pollution from the DuPont Experimental Station into the Brandywine Creek. The Brandywine Creek flows into the Delaware River, which flows into the Delaware Bay, which flows to the Atlantic. The only reason DuPont is seemingly always overlooked is because they have the money, and they own most of northern Delaware.
Thats because we have the baddest bitches in the world, also some of the most attractive.
I have to agree and disagree with this. We don't actually get the numbers win for tornadoes but we do in fact get the worst in magnitude.Come on, we're in the middle of Tornado Alley! Screw Illinois, OK gets a lot of tornadoes. In fact, I'm not looking forward to Spring.

I don't even want to remember May 10th. I think that was the worst day for me. And thinking about the one in 1999(?) sends chills down my spine.

Highest homeless rate. I was actually not aware of that, although you do often see some when you go walking around by the river between the parks downtown. Seems to be where they camp. Guess the homeless shelter and the soup kitchen have good reason to be there.
Although you will also find that there are those who aren't so bad off, but will pan handle. Then you see them drive away in a nicer car than you own. Those people are awesome. Anyhoo...

I don't really know the facts about Kansas/Missouri, so I guess I have to go by what the source says. If I had to speculate I'd say it's pretty accurate.
Did anyone else notice that in the link with the SAT scores, the states with the lowest average scores were also the states that typically require their students to take an SAT test? Of course the states with under 10% student participation are going to score higher...

Kind of glad I'm sticking to West coast though - East America seems to have a lot of illness, disease and death.
To be fair though, the map is very cynical and takes the worst leading factor in every state. The east coast isn't some pestilence ridden wasteland.

This is wrong.
It says, "What is your state the worst at?"
Then is has "Binge Drinking" over Wisconsin.
How can you be bad at binge drinking?
While I'm not from Wisconsin by any means, and I hate this damn state, I do live here. And I do definitely contribute to the binge drinking statistic. While Wisconsin does not drink more per capita than all other states (though it's close to the top on that list), it does drink more per drinker. In other words, not all of us do it, but those of us that do, do it right.
As far as the rest of 'em ... I'm not really surprised. Some of them are interesting, things I didn't know, but they're nothing I wouldn't suspect.

I'm from Oklahoma, and the female criminal sounds quite sexy...
..untill I consider that most of these supposed bad girls are simply burned methheads
Can't say I've ever met someone who's declared bankruptcy, so I'm not sure how factual that claim that Missouri is the most bankrupt state would be, but whatevers!
Some of the facts were rather hilarious, especially Utah's and Michigan's (not that high unemployment rate is by any means funny, just the fact that it's all probably contributed to by citizens of Detroit)
I'm down in Florida but I have yet to experience an Identity Theft and hope to keep it that way ::knocks on wood:: so I can't really comment on that. It is an interesting thing to see on a map though. I wonder what every state is best at?

With a such large rural population, highschool education simply is not necissary for farm worker. So why bother wasting time? School is to educate so people can get jobs...but if the family farm is where you want to be...
Also I'm sure that the Katrinians have something to do with it.
