Soooooooooo the title is way off topic but that's how it happens!

I never really look into what the forums offer, regardless of threads and the basics, but as I was looking into my profile I saw my ICQ address!!!

Soooooooo this brings me to my point, Who remembers ICQ??? It was the first (that I know of) IM program!

The default when you got a message was Uh OH!!!

It was back when you could get songs in no time with Napster, never get throttled, or bandwidth limited!

The "point of this thread" if you wanna reply is:

My fondest memory is hooking up my first ever internet enabled booty call. She was hot, but an absolute mess who hung out with some shady people (and being 15 at the time it's not like I was ready to be exposed to drugs during a booty call...obviously)

The best thing about ICQ is, you could update the "about me" section, but unless someone right clicked on your username, clicked profile, and then clicked "update" no one would ever know, so you could self-filter who you cares about!!!

*This is not a nostalgia thread, this is a "who can actually remember ICQ and how do you remember it thread, for all you nostalgia haters...you know who you are...loco hahaha*

The only thing I remember about talking on ICQ is Fuzz. And I really barely remember that. Fuzz would probably be like "wtf, I don't remember that?"

Dude Fuzz was like "how can I contact you" or the other way around and he had ICQ and I was like ok *dl in 2 seconds* "BEEEP WHATS UP".

I dl'ed it because of that. Since I wrote news for a while. I found like 3 other people I knew who used ICQ, that was IT.

heh, I even remember my old ICQ number, 65680411. Imbedded in my head from my Delta force gaming days. Was a good program till it became a virus haven of Doom!!

I haven't accessed it in about 12-13 years

I just thought of ICQ actually the other day. Was looking through my Blackberry apps and there's an app to use ICQ on it. Hmm!

I remember randomly chatting with people... I was so friggin' ignorant back then. I reeeeally pissed off this lady I was chatting with who lived in Texas. I asked her if it was true that everything was big in Texas and she blew a gasket on me. In retrospect maybe she thought I was asking about her hooters? In reality I was asking about the stereotype, hair, portion sizes... etc.
