Today I Learned.
TIL two things.
My cousin works as a marketer in Seattle (Bellevue specifically) for Pokemon and that we have a reputation system on TFFF.

Today I learned that the time in Tunisia is the same time in Scotland. The timezones are called different names though.
I also learned that I went from my house to work (9.8 miles) in 35 minutes. That's 16 miles per hour!
And, I learned that the dairy bar near my house does not open until 11 am. I was really wanting a milkshake on my way home from work today, too.

Today I once again learned that alcohol is bad for my boyfriend as well as my brother. They shouldn't drink that stuff anymore. At least if they still want me to go to public places with them -_-

I visit "did you know" and "did you know gaming" on daily basis, you get to learn some truly fascinating things on those sites. For instance, ancient Romans sometimes stuffed a chicken in a duck in a goose in a pig in a cow and cooked them all at once (ultimate meat lunch if you ask me. I wouldn't mind trying that). As for my own personal life, I found out my little sister got her mobile phone taken from her couple of weeks ago by her teacher for texting in middle of the class. She'll never gonna see it again, that I promise.

SPOILER!!:
I took two of those quizzes and both times I was Hufflepuff. Just, loyal and patient apparently.
I learned today that if a guy hasn't seen Mean Girls, he aint good enough for you, hon.
I'm kidding. But I actually did learn that berries and mushrooms restrict the blood flow to fat cells so you don't absorb fat as quickly... cool.
Today I learned that something does not have to necessarily be sharp and pointy in order to go right through my bicycle tire and pop the inner tube. I had someone's body jewelry do that to my front tire today.
The sad thing is, the jewelry is probably worth less than it costs to get a new inner tube. My bike has no standards. It couldn't get blown by gold or silver. No, it had to get popped by some cheap aluminum or tin piece of junk. And the "gems" on it were plastic.

Today I learned two things:
The first thing was that it is a super good idea to ALWAYS wear a glove when swinging a golf club. I went to the range today and it blistered up my hands.
Secondly, I also learned the pain that comes from rubbing salt in ones wounds. I fully blame the fries at the BK Lounge for that, because it stung my broken blistered hands like hellfire.

Today I Learned a heck of a lot about cancer, given my current family situation.
A few months ago, I did the Apprenticeship programme at work, and learned a lot about the food, particularly chicken nuggets. They are moulded into four uniform shapes (boot, bell, bone and ball), and are made from chicken breast, water, tempura batter and... chicken flavouring?! No, really.
Seriously, at McDonald's, the old adage 'you learn something new everyday' rings true, whether it is something about the restaurant or company itself, or some random titbit from colleague, or on the rare occasion, customer.
"...For the stronger we our houses do build,
The less chance we have of being killed." ~ William Topaz McGonagall (1830-1902)
Today I learned that GPS systems are horribly undeniable when you actually need them, including when they have no cloud cover - and if you're a farmer, own a ute and dogs they're likely going to ride on the back regardless of how many times you tell them to get off.
I learned that we can't use those £10 vouchers we give away at work with new console sales in conjunction with any other offer... even though there's no small print on the receipt that says so, but it does indeed say "Can't be used on ANYTHING in store!" So the sale items and the pre-owned three for two? Yeah... can't use it on like HALF the store.
I also learned that one of my favourite characters die in True Blood. For ****s sake. I had no idea, and would never have been able to guess. I've yet to watch the episode though (my next one to watch before series five).
TIL that a book in a series I love is finally being released this year...13 years after the last book was published. So excited!
