Summer!

For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, it's almost Summer!

Do y'all have any plans?

My bf graduates from his current school June 5th (he'll go on to NYU in the Fall. Yay!), then my little girl is coming up the 12th for a month.. I'm soooo beyond excited. And I know she is too.

After that, bf & roommate are going to Wisconsin for 2 weeks with their reserve unit \m/ My little sister may come visit for a week during that time.

And then afterwards, bf and I are gonna maybe fly down to Florida to visit an old friend of mine for a few days <3

This is the first year I've had plans -all- Summer. I'm excited.

I'm really bad at plans. I wing almost everything, and summer isn't my favourite season. This year, I was more or less forced to use up my holiday, so I booked a few things off...

Plus, I have work for most of it. I've booked the week of E3 off because I ALWAYS end up working through all the announcements or sleeping because I have work early the next day. And who knows - maybe I'll attend this year! For the last few years, work has had some last minute tickets as incentives. Maybe they love me enough to just... gimmie one? ^^;

I've also got another week booked off in July for my other half's birthday. It's like two weeks after our anniversary, so I'd like to do something special. I'd love to go to the middle of nowhere and see the stars. I've never seen the Milky Way. I can see Jupiter and Neptune most of the year in the city (they're just bright looking stars), but Dave never believes me when I point them out. Even though they just so happen to always be in the right position on my star chart for this time of year. Maybe take him somewhere someone can educate him on this stuff.

As I'm back down on a part time contract, I'd like to do more bike riding when I'm not at work. The last few months have been tough after my grandmother broke her hip, and my step dad got hit and run on his bike and fractured his knee. Not been time for it, or people to go with. He won't be ready for London to Brighton or London to Southend this year, so there's no day trip planned for us either now. Buuut me and Dave were talking about a day trip to the beach soon - maybe this weekend, if the sun stops being a tease.

I probably won't be doing very much this summer other than working. I am the Outside Lawn and Garden manager at Lowe's and spring/summer is pretty insane here. We refer to the busy time as "100 Days of Hell" because the store is insanely understaffed and it is the busiest time of the year for a home improvement store. In between working I will probably be gaming, and attending cookouts with my coworkers.

Dying of a heat stroke. I don't handle the summer well here since I'm from a colder climate (I moved from Ontario Canada to South Carolina USA). But I would like to go camping towards the end of summer, hiking, get fit, and plant a rose garden!

My plan for this summer is more college, it will be dreadfully hot and classes will be insanely compacted, I've heard other students grousing and cursing these things in much the same way the old people speak of winter in Game of Thrones, sorta like I'm nothing but an untried, doe-eyed newbie until I've survived it, so I'm kinda nervous, but I'm confident I can handle whatever comes at me... unless there are whitewalkers... in the summer...? I don't know how that could happen, who cares, stop panicking!!! Where's my bow???

I plan to stay inside as much as I can in order to avoid the ungodly heat. I miss below freezing temperatures already. It's so much better to be cold than to have your brain cooking inside of your skull. **** all hot things. The sun can go suck a ****.

I love summer. I have a pool, so I swim a lot. I feel like if I turned into a mermaid, I would be perfectly content with that. I wouldn't be content if I turned into a centaur, though, because centaurs melt in water.

I've had it - obviously - and I find it to be some of the best, least amount of burn. If you can find it, grab a bottle to try. Usually costs around $20-25. Or try to get one of them mini bottles if available.

It could have been either or both. I was drunk. I started walking back to my hotel and went the wrong way, had to turn around, a HUGE rat ran across the sidewalk in front of me, and I was wildly looking around to see if anyone else had seen that shit, but it was Manhattan so of course everyone was ignoring everything. Pretty sure it was real though.

Try to take over the world...!

Play games, spend time with my brother, play more games, practice witchcraft, you know, the usual!

I can already feel the heat on it's way. I'm pretty sure this summer will be the most intense it's been in years, at least in my area. It never gets this hot so early in the year. I'll probably spend even more time indoors than I already do, so maybe I'll be able to contribute to the forums a bit more, like how I wanted to when I signed back up back in October. TFF will live forever! *cackles*

That night got very hazy, but I remember lots of drinks, my buddy showed up, a bartender that looked like Channing Tatum and then Tiff took me to some German bar and we basically drank Kraut whiskey in pint glasses and ate German sausage (no pun intended). It was good times.

This summer I am... deciding if I want to go to grad school in the fall, since I just wrapped up my B.Sc in CS. Looking for a real job. Going to some lake for my MIL's 50th birthday. Or 45th? **** if I remember. Getting through my backlog of books and games. Trying to find a side project I want to work on/contribute to.

Well my passport application was declined. Apparently my girlfriend's sister counts as my immediate family and does not work as a reference. In order to try again I have to get someone to sign some forms and photos of me, and they have to have known me for more than two years. Unfortunately since I've moved there's no one in over 200 kilometres who meets that criteria haha.

Melbourne looks cool, but I don't know much about it apart from the fact that there's a cool road along the south coast of Australia nearby, and the old gaol, Ned Kelly etc. I'd just want to get plastered in town tbqh. My girlfriend's been before but she wants to go back (and go to Sydney too).
