yes che loaf and oceaneyes...it goes out to you...
but seriously, when did everything on the internet become a social network? Like buttons all over? Remember when you had to go to a certain site to actually communicate over the internet? (and did you know the internet is on computers now?)
in my (and im sad to admit it) 12 years on TFF its actually mindblowing the changes that have occurred.
Purpose of the thread: Nothing
Reason for replying: Everything
Question: in the next 12 years will we be virtual foruming? I hope not because there's way too many gingers
Edit: In other news, remember when it was cool to make a great thread, and unexplainably delete it just to piss people off and lower post counts? Whatever happened to THAT!

I told you all this months ago! BEFORE it was cool! #sohipsterrightnow
But sooner or later, people will realize that reddit isn't all that interesting. It's just adorable cats and dogs and "if you park like this **** you" and annoying ****ing memes and pun comment after pun comment after pun comment (have to scroll down forever to get the real content or discussion on the post). And they'll be back. Oh, they'll be back.
As mentioned above, I guess forums need to keep up with the ever growing social networking sites. I think the novelty has worn off as it's been really slow here the last few weeks, but it is that time of year I suppose. But likes, they be awesome.
You make me feel so young... I'm coming up to half a decade on here!
I was saying this before rj came back.

I tend to 'like' posts here and on Facebook, or 'thumbs up' or 'green arrow' comments on news articles if I particularly agree with what the poster has said. It's a nice little addition, and seems to be the way the wind is blowing, these days...

I like TFF and I like FB, so why not put them together? I'm sure there are plenty of TFF members who do not like the new layout, but this is more user friendly and convenient to those who like to keep up with the forums. Liking posts actually saves comment space so you won't have to scroll down a huge window of several comments.
