Siblings and how you deal with them

Ok if there is a thread like this already sorry I couldn't find it. So on to the topic, know how many of us have siblings and are tortured by them? I'm wondering how everyone deals with them and what they do.

I'll go first, my younger sister will pick a fight with me anytime, anywhere, any reason. Plus she does everything she can to get me in trouble with my parents, and it works trust me you don't want to know what else she does it's sick and twisted

All joking aside, my brother annoys me. He finds any excuse to pick a fight, and talks to everyone like shit if he so much as gets asked to do something constructive. Fortunately, I have my own room which I hide out in all the time. He still finds a way to annoy me in there, but... well, at least I have the comfort of closing the door and chilling out in my own little space.

If you can, just stay out of her way. Don't give her a reason to pick a fight with you. Like me and my brother, I'm sure you guys aren't in a constant battle or anything - you must have something you both enjoy doing together.

I have 3 older brothers and a sister i am the youngest. I have lived with all my brothers at one point and time but never my sister.

One of my brothers used to stay with my mother while i was staying there he would beat on me from time to time(not the brotherly playing kind either). The other two would kind of bully me from time to time. One of my cousins was downright evil to me.

I will say this no one ****s with me anymore......

My brother Jamie and I used to fight constantly, he's 22 and I'm 14. We had to fight, it's written in human DNA that you have to fight with your siblings! We used to pretend fight too, which he just let me hit him and he'd pretend to be getting hurt, or there was throwing me on the couch!

Of course, we have good times too. I remember like I've told many people, he's the one that got me into gaming and Final Fantasy. We used to play loads of games together or I'd just sit on armrest and watch him on the game.

So to be honest, it's not just you, it's everybody. I wouldn't say that we are tortured by them. For every action, there is a positive or negative reaction. Which means you must be doing something too. That's how it goes.

I have three brothers and no sisters, so I was horribly outnumbered. When you have those kind of odds stacked against you, you learn pretty quickly how to retaliate when someone messes with you. I never got overly violent, but I would smack my brothers around if I thought it was needed. I never got in trouble for it either, and yeah, I used it to my advantage sometimes.

Sorry that your sis is driving you crazy, but like Entity said, it's probably not all the time that she does it. Try hanging out with her, and do some of the stuff that she likes to do. Chances are, she just wants the attention, so give her some positive attention instead of having to argue and fight with her. You'll both be happier because of it, and share some nice moments that you'll treasure for a long time.

Back in the day I use to fight with my older sister, I think our hostility towards each other started when she pushed me off the turtle sandbox and I hit my head on the cement base of the house. After a while my sister and I grew up and our differences dissipated.

However, some time later I started getting into it heated talking matches with my younger sister and her most "happy" attitude. Eventually things died down, not her attitude though, I guess I largely ignored her and that was that.

Now, I hardly deal with either one of them, much less know what is going on in their lives as I don't call them or talk to them really. All of my information comes from what I overhear other people saying.

Im the oldest out of 6 siblings and i am staying with two of them now. My little brother Adam is 5, and my sister Allie is 7, we don't really fight and they are actually really cool siblings. I guess they look up to me because when i tell them to do something they listen (most of the time ) I mainly have to pull them off each other, becasue they like to fight over the Wii, and the cable, but other then that they get along just fine. When they don't listen they hear that click, click, click sound from when the belt comes off Lmao! Jk
When they do make a fuss the most i do is ground them, but i can never really follow through with that becasue i feel bad for them.

I got one little brother (16 years old). We have our moments, both good and bad. We're both chill, but we can both get territorial at times, which is what seems to set each other off more often then not. I don't like it when he's on my computer, he doesn't like it when I wear his shoes, etc. We both get along though for the most part. Like for example we had some banter between us just a few minutes ago, which involved him calling me a "fag" for my faux hawk, and me calling him a "queer" for him going tanning after work tonight. It was all in good fun though, kinda how we show our appreciation and caring towards one another. We'd still stick up for each other thick and thin, cause we the only siblings we got!!

Dang but hopefully you're right about finding things she likes( I really doubt it's attention. She once pants herself in front of the people on her bus.

...but he's 38, so forget him.

But in the time has was around, he was... wierd... Not so much annoying or mean as... just weird. Its like he was constantly going on about his ego or something. Even as a kid, I was weirded out. But it hardly matters anymore, because I saw him again a couple months ago after 5 or so years. He's a total 300 pounder, and his love life is ruined, so he's living in rent. o_O

I have one older brother by a few years, he's 23, about to be 24 on the 12th of this month. We used to fight when I was younger and had some pretty nasty arguments, but overall I'd say we get along well.

Nowadays we never fight, ever and we actually hang out more. Usually around the house it's a lot of play smacking going on every time we're in the hallway or the kitchen at the same time so for the most part I don't really have anythig to deal with, a back hand from time to time does the trick

I have an older Half Brother and Half Sister. I don't remember living with my brother, I was so young at the time, he moved to my grand parents house in New York. My sister and I used to fight all the time up until my Grand fathers memorial then we stopped the sibling feud lol.

Me and my brother get a long, he likes to play Video games now. And me and my sister get along, I get more along with her husband lol.

ive got a younger bro who's 20 and were pretty cool with each other now. but when we were younger we'd fight alot. and apparently at some point when i was 5 (he was 2) i called him the devil because he always told my mom i hit him.

I have one younger brother. He is fifteen going on sixteen. When we were little we used to fight all of the time. Blame eachother for things.. It was crazy.

But over the last few years well at least five we get along great. He comes to talk to me when he needs someone to talk to. It's nice. I like actually having a friendly relationship with him as opposed to one where we are constantly fighting. Even though we were both in primary school then.

Horray for being an only child! I would have made a terrible elder sister if I had any little siblings- I need my space and get very irritable if I am disturbed when I am trying to relax. At least with younger cousins you give them back at the end of the day!

I have an older brother and two younger sisters, strangely enough I never fought with my brother, to be honest I didn't get to see him much when I was younger, now we're both adults and we settle our differences more mature. Unfortunately I used to constantly fight with one of my younger sister, no mater how petty the reason was we would fight. One day we just started to ignore each other, the problems diapered instantly. The irony is that we're pretty close now, I watch her back and she watches mine. My other sister is much younger than we are, she loves me because I always buy her something, I think I spoiled her too much.
