So I'm quitting smoking. I decided to try putting together a playlist of peppy 80's music that was upbeat; i.e. nothing by Sonic Youth or Ozzy Ozbourne. Only Van Halen song is "Jump."
Girls Just Want To Have Fun as well as Cyndi Lauper's other major hits are welcome. I've got it playing in another window now, let's see what pops up next...
It's hard to type and listen to lyrics at the same time, because I start typing the lyrics...
I don't want to listen to overt raucous sexuality either so most of what Prince does is kinda out. The next song that played while I was typing this was "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" by The Police.
So given that pattern, "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic," if you know those two songs or go listen to them, what else could you recommend?
The idea is to keep myself pinned down into a very chill and relaxed and easygoing, good mood so that I won't feel like someone who is stopping nicotine.
Side Note: The methods of treating nicotine dependence are known to me. I am trying not to use them because, from my personal experience, nicotine is poisonous in the extreme...I just plain want it out of my circulatory system like yesterday.
