Thread: Posters in your room.

    Posters in your room.

How many people have posters in your room? I actually didn't for a long time but over my University years there have been a lot of Poster sales that came to my campus and I have accumulated several.

    I have:
A small Andy Warhol Poster (donated by a friend who didn't want it anymore)
    A Kingdom Hearts 2 poster
    A Goodfellas poster
A Back to the Future poster
An Old Coca-Cola wood mounted Poster I took from my bar I work at when they redecorated
A Dragonball Z poster (Saiyans and Piccolo only, standing all "tough guy"-like)
    Final Fantasy XIII poster
    Starcraft II poster (Kerrigan)
a small wood mounted Friends (the show) poster
A House poster on my door

I have a cloth FFVII poster of Cloud I havn't found a good place for. I also had a huge "Make way for the bad guys" poster featuring many famous gangster movie guys but it was so big it eventually ripped under its own weight so many times I had to scrap it.

I also have a few other things like a wall mounted Sword, My diplomas, a few pictures and drawings.

What do you have on your walls?

    Re: Posters in your room.

I have a few posters. I have a Clockwork Orange Poster that my dad hates ("Why would you want him [Alex] on you wall?"), a Pulp Fiction poster (where they are about to pull their triggers; though if I could ever get my hands on it, I want the Banksy version where the pistols are replaced with Warholesque/The Velvet Underground bananas). I also have a poster of The Smiths (the band on a Parisan Street, in 1984), and one of Robert Smith, captioned "Boys Don't Cry". Lastly, I have a poster of Kurt Cobain that my brother left when he moved out.

Aside from that, I have dine artwork made my friends for me, photos, and a few comic strips cut outbid the paper that I've found especially funny/insightful.

Oh, and I have a Beatles poster that I received from my friend when I gave him a Scott Pilgrim poster got Christmas (it hurt to give that up). Although this poster is on the back of my door which is generally only closed when i'm asleep.

I would. I want one so bad.

I have a Built to Spill poster that I got from a guy Rusty that I met downtown that draws event/concert posters for his favorite bands for fun, and he let me have a copy :3

I have a Thursday (band also) poster.

I have a Sailor Moon poster that I've had since the 1st grade by my bed. It's awesome.

I have. Huge Philippine Flag on one wall and a Toms flag lol

I had my walls collaged but I had to take it all down because we're getting the walls painted/trying to move again.

I'm thinking about creating a hybrid. A dolphin-monkey. Half dolphin, half monkey. Do you think it's possible?
I was thinking that since I'm artificially creating it, I'll create it with rocket fuel instead of blood, and thus it will be able to fly, using the dolphin's dorsal fins as wings. And from the air, it will look down upon us all and protect us against sharks, and search for bananas.

    My favourite Banksy work.
I live right around the corner from where it was... too bad it's no longer there. =(

I used to have loads of posters up around my room. The film and game rental where I live used to give me and my brother their old posters for films and games. But then they closed, me and my brother stopped sharing a room, I decorated, and I've only recently put some of my posters back up on the wall.

I have three Final Fantasy VII ones, and they all have a back and a front poster (sans the Zack one). I have a Vincent Valentine one on my door, and the Zack one is underneath it it. The other is on the side of my wardrobe, which you can't really see unless you're sitting on the bed.

Above my bed on the wall I have a Batman Joker poster that my brother got me for the Christmas before I decorated. I have two of those, but one is under my bed in storage. Next to that one on the adjoining wall, I have a Dead Space 2 poster.

I also have under my bed a Bunny Suicides Poster, and a "KEEP OUT! LOUD MUSIC!" poster. I can't find a good space for the Bunny Suicides one, and I don't really like the "Keep Out!" one. I have one more space on my wall, and that's reserved for a large Vincent Valentine one I hope to find at MCM Expo this year. If not, I plan on hanging up some of my GCSE art work.

I have 2 bamboo wall scrolls hanging in my bedroom, they are quite awesome. Hand-crafted and hand painted in China. My mother, may she rest in peace, got them for me when she was in China about 10 years ago.

werd up, and my condolences. <3

I have a couple of posters, one of Kid Cudi that I got for free when I bought his most recent album. I have another one of Wiz Khalifa when he was promoting his Waken Baken tour, I got that from a friend and it's seriously one of the most legit presents someone has ever gotten me before lol. I have another picture of Dexter Morgan hanging on the wall that my brother got for my birthday. Then right above my bed, I have some kind of creepy yet still cool picture of a painting with the words to Psalm 16:11, one of my favorite verses from the Bible.

    Re: Posters in your room.

I used to have TONS of posters on my bedroom wall as a kid, mostly of bands I liked at the time (Oasis, Blur, Stereophonics, Manic Street Preachers, amongst others.) and I had the Trainspotting poster as well. The whole wall above my desk was covered in posters and pages from Top of the Pops and Smash Hits magazines. Sadly, when I was 14, we had a fire in the kitchen and all the smoke damage ruined all the stuff. I salvaged the Trainspotting one as it was laminated, and a friend of mine kindly donated her Boyzone poster, which had Oasis on the back (it was a pullout from a magazine). I also had the Apocalypse Now poster on the back of my door. It was a little big and the door handle damaged it, so I left it behind when I moved out completely.

When I was at uni, I had Matrix posters of Neo and Smith, a Doctor Who poster (when it was David Tennant! ), a Simpsons characters poster and a poster with some of the Little Britain characters.

Now I have my own house I'm a bit more grown up, and don't really have posters as such. I have a picture of my friends' baby underneath the light switch (it is a thank-you card for his birth presents), a swimming schedule for my gym (which I really need to update!) a postcard from Greenwich, London (where I am from) and a tea-towel of the London Underground map, flanked by two prints of Liverpool waterfront, one by day, one by night. I also have a framed picture of some Puffins I picked up at a charity shop, and a framed photo of me and two of my flatmates from uni before a birthday party at the bottom of my stairs.

Built to Spill?! That will totally get you in with the indie crowd. That's pretty awesome.

I used to have a lot more posters on my walls, before I had a cat that tore them all down There are a few left. A lot of it is really nerdy. Some are just random pictures I've drawn (one was one I did for an art class that she tore up... ) I have pages from the Democrat Herald from when the Beavers did awesome stuff from 1998 to 2001. I've got a map of Vvardenfell with the bottom right corner torn off (cat) a Rampage 2: Universal Poster (game I never played) a Super Mario RPG poster, A Legend of Zelda: OoT poster on my ceiling so the cat can't get to it, a Too Much Coffee Man Flier, a bunch of fliers and postcards for local rock shows from a long time ago (including like 4 for Five Iron Frenzy) A Less Than Jake pool toy that's partially deflated, A Beatles "Abbey Road" plate thingy, a wooden plaque I painted randomly with red and blue when I was younger that has a cross and a bible verse on it, A Peanuts clipping, a clipping of a Fat Cat named Joseph (48 lbs, also rich) and some random funny pictures I printed out from the internet. Outside my room on my door is an MxPx poster.

...it kind of makes me sad how few things are on my wall anymore. The most recent thing she tore down was a Gundam Wing poster my friend gave me last year. I was also looking around for my Pokemon poster, my Dragon Warrior map, and my LttP map, but I think she tore all those down, too... damn cat. Everything is not a toy! Anyhoo...

    Wuv, Yer Mom

EDIT: Oh yeah, and a limited edition Relient K poster for their last album that she also tore down! Grrr.... Seriously, I used to come home every night and be like, "...WHAT THE FUCK?! DAMN IT, CAT!!"

    Re: Posters in your room.

I collect posters, have huge amount of them, would have even more if I could only stop myself from giving them away. Funny thing is, neither one is on my walls, they're all neatly stacked in my file box, sorted under sports, music, movies, games, and various sections.

Only Final Fantasy poster I have is the one of Zidane Tribal, I had Cloud Strife but I gave it away, others are mostly music, and sport ones. The ones I'm really fond of are FC Chelsea generation 2004-2005, Metal Gear Solid, Gran Turismo 3, Evanescence, Nightwish, Nirvana, Ali G, several of Linkin Park, and Eminem...

Used to have Eminem in natural size on my door, until my aunt's little plonker ripped it off.

All I have is the iconic "Al Pacino-Scarface" poster that was given to me by an ex-girlfriend. In the spot it currently resides use to be an old N.Y. Mets poster of Paul Wilson, Bill Pulsipher, & Jason Isringhausen with the title "Untouchables" across. I guess that was to be a play on their collective nickname: Generation K. The "K" denoting a strikeout in baseball score-keeping. They didn't like that nickname too much preferring Generation DL (Disabled List, for all you non-baseball people).

I have a lot of posters actually. Two dragon posters, two dragon puzzles, 6 space-scapes, a calvin and hobbes comic, a framed "Fox in socks on box on knox", and a monster energy poster my friend drew me.

I also have a Star Wars "Rocks" poster, a periodic table, and because it's epic, a goddamned Three Wolf Moon poster.

I only have three posters in my room: a tiger/dragon yin-yang poster, a Yu-Gi-Oh! poster, and Kingdom Hearts 2. I have more teeshirts with cool stuff on them than posters.

I don't have many posters up, but I do have an American flag hanging above my bed, along with a street sign that was somehow procured from my old college house's street. I also have a no trespassing sign, from hunting property. Let me tell ya, that was well worth being scared shitless for.

The cool thing I did with my wallspace though was taking the majority of concert/ sports game tickets from the past 6 years or so, and posting them up with that blue tacky stuff. It's a pretty cool looking collage, but I had to stop, or else I'd be covering half the house.

I do have the poster that came with GTA3, as a centerpiece of that collage though, mostly because I love the way it's designed, and how the buildings are silhouetted by the orange sky. Oh, and I also have the poster that came with Pink Floyd's "The Wall" film. It's the one that looks like a tormented face screaming. Good stuff!

I used to have a legit Stop sign, stolen from a construction site where it was torn down. Then my roommates "borrowed" it to make a skateboard ramp. They left it outside, my neighbors stole it (also students) then some other neighbors (Old people) went to their house said they were gonna call the police so they tried to give it back to us and we wouldn't take it back. The police then came to our house tried to lecture us so we sent them next door and they got busted. Too bad, shouldn't of stole our sign then try to give it back to us when they knew the cops were coming.
