At the last forum I was at for nearly eight years, this thread got to over 200 pages long. It was bigger then the "Post your picture!" thread. So let's see how this hot button issue goes here. I think it's something everyone should have an opinion on.

Haha, Ive not had enough pie to know my favorite. I lovve it I really do but over here we have a crap selection with crap quality. I once bought a cherry pie from Tesco, when I opened it up it turned out to be apple... I was not ammused.

As for cheesecake being a pie...

But yeah, cheesecake is indeed a pie. It has a crust and filling, no cake parts like batter and icing.

Steak and Stout pie. Oh yes folks the nicest meat on the planet cooked in a pastry with loads of stout( if any are wandering what a stout is think Guinness). One of the greatest combinations. Im hoping for a whiskey and peking duck pie in future but Im probably in a niche of my own. One can dream though, one can dream.........

As for cheesecake being a pie...

They consider it a pie because unlike cakes, cheesecake doesn't rise. At least, that's what I've known.

As for me, I like coconut creme pie a lot, mainly because I absolutely love coconut. 8D Oh, and...Boston creme pie, which is a CAKE. ._.

I want a whiskey and duck pie! One of the best alchoholic beverages (preffereably Scotch or Irish) and one of the tastiest meats.

I think that was just a "What's your favorite dessert" thread. I don't think there's been a thread just dedicated to pie.

As for the topic at hand, I guess I have a couple of favorites, but if I had to choose just one, it would be peanut butter pie. Drizzle some chocolate on top and it tastes a bit like a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.

My favorite is from a restaurant/bakery where I live called CoCo's and they have different pies and pastries each season. The best one is only available only during Fall, I forget the name but it's a raspberry peach pie. Sooo, good. Normally I end up not eating all parts of pie, like sometimes I won't eat the crust or maybe the filling is too much, but not his pie, I eat everything

If we are talking meat.. My favourite pie is cheese and bacon. Yumyum. It has the normal meat in it as well. Fernvale and Rosewood both do a really good one. But every other bakery is ohkay too.

If we are taking dessert. I don't like any kind of dessert pie. Ick.

For all the garbage it turned out, my primary (elementary) school's meat pie wasn't bad. Put me off mashed potatoes for life though, so I can no longer enjoy Shepherd's/Cottage Pie. Otherwise, I'm not a fan of savoury pies.

My favourite dessert pie has got to be McD's apple pie. As long as we have some ready, I am always tempted to buy one after my shift. Though more often than not, they are never ready. Except in the height of winter when they are more useful, and the Festive pies (mince piues with custard) come out

England and I live here because I have no passport to move nor proffesion to stay there Maybe I'll become a writer like these fingers were destined to be! ...Probably. (Well I got A* in GCSE for fiction and Non-Fiction CW)

But I would love to try pumpkin pie, i'ts been a desire for a looong time. As for any others most I've tried are meat or simple like apple/ cherry etc. I never even heard of ones like Oreo and that!

For my 100th post here at these forums, I shall reveal my favorite pie...

Toll House Chocolate Chip

A local resturant here makes it, and it's so delicious. Imagine they made a chocolate chip cookie into a pie crust, and then filled that completely with melted semi sweet chocolate. Then top the whole thing with whipped cream and chocolate chips...mmmm...so good.

Also I like pumpkin, peach, and rhubarb.


Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go play some arcade games.

i love me some good Apple Cobbler, but absolute favorite is Boysenberry Pie. The kind you can get at Knott's here in California is exceptional. I find Blackberry pie to be a fine and close substitute.

And just ewww at Cheesecake, I do not like it not one bit.

My favorite pie is a good old, All American, apple pie. If there's a crumb topping, that's just an extra bonus.

And I just looked up a recipe for derby pie. Looks like I might be baking tomorrow.
