    PAX South

    Hey guys!

    I was wondering if anyone else was heading out to the inaugural PAX South convention this coming weekend in San Antonio. I've got weekend passes for the event and was curious if anyone would be in the area!

    I've been to plenty of local anime conventions and such, but this will be my first actual videogame convention.

    If there's anything you want me to keep an eye out for, let me know! Saturday is my photography day, so I intend to spend much of my time wandering aimlessly taking pictures of cosplay and the show floor.

    As much as I would like to attend Pax twice a year I cannot. I'll stick to Pax Prime as I enjoy Seattle a lot more than Texas.

    Keep us updated, let us know what you play, what you liked, etc.

    Absolutely. I'll be in cosplay Friday and Sunday, so those are likely going to be my big free-shit days. Devs love cosplayers. I probably won't get to play as much stuff on those days, but Saturday is wide open. I'll take a few notes here and there and write up reports on anything I get an opportunity to play. I was hoping to snag a press pass for Thursday as well, but did not manage to get lucky on that one.

    PAX South report, day zero:
    Already got a noise complaint from the room next to us. Off to a good start. These kids from Boston that are bunking up in here are appropriately word. Fun though. Eight of us in here tonight... nine for the next three nights. Hopefully we wind down before three in the morning next time.

    Lots of Streetpasses though.

    Oh, and wearing Tiny Tina on Sunday garnered tons of attention and Gearbox gave me a bunch of free stuff for that and posted it along with dozens of others on the facebook page and they asked my permission to showcase it in the next email newsletter and and and

    Oh, and we won the Iron Cosplay contest on Saturday night and took home WAY TOO MUCH FREE SHIT
