Other Forums?

I was wondering how many of the members here go to other forums besides TFF, and what types of forums members from here go to. Do you mainly go to other video game forums, or is there something else that is common? Just list how many forums you regularly visit and what the forums are actually about.

Right now I only visit two other forums besides TFF. One is a music forum about a particular group that I like, and the other is a manga forum. I would post the links, but that is probably against the rules. They are both small forums, so they are pretty different from TFF.

Thinking about this reminds me of the time when a lot of members from here tried to create their own forums. Too bad they all died, mine included. Some of those forums actually ended up being pretty cool and a nice get away from TFF...

So, what forums do you visit?

I frequent a muzicforum, and a bleachforum. They are not as good as TFF though. I always end up spending much more time on here than the other two.

I am also a member of three MMA forums.

I'm not sure without looking but I think my home forum is linked in my signature ... or it used to be.
I started out at Prima games back in 2002 joined here soon after, then in June of 03 I joined Anime Chains.
I've belonged to many different anime forums and one music forum. Most of my time is spent at AC, Aarin, jpopmusic, or batsu.
I also frequent youtube and myspace though.
I have way to many places to visit in one afternoon Lol

I was a member of the Sim 3 forum before coming here. It was pretty strict too. You were only allowed to talk about Sims 3 related topics. You couldn't even talk about other games in the Sims universe, or any other game from EA. It was strictly Sims 3. It was alright for a while, especially when they had Sims Modeling competitions and Look-a-Like competitions, but eventually those got boring as well. Also, too many people complained about the Sims Store. I mean, it's alright to see a thread pop up every now and again about how overpriced the stuff is in the store, but it was a constant thing.

I haven't been back to that particular forum in probably the amount of time I've been a member here, so it's been a while.

I've lurked in other forums, but the only notable one was the Final Fantasy Shrine Forums. The others were just random forums that I stumbled across for various reasons. I found that place, because TFF is affiliated with them, and I just wanted to see what they were all about. I wasn't impressed, to say the least.

So that's the extent of my forum membership/visitation.

EDIT:: Oh, wait. Two more I forgot to mention. I'm a member of a Sephiroth Fan Forum and another called Final Fantasy Ark. I haven't been to the Sephiroth one in a long time, and FFA I will visit on occasion. Been a while since I posted anything there though.

Seems I'm a pretty single-minded person when it comes to forums.

I'm member on couple of forums, but besides TFF I'm only active in two of them. Both are local forums although one of them is near extinction, shame though. The other one has huge community, way bigger than TFF and even tho it's pretty versatile I only go there to discuss about sports.

Although TFF was my first and main forum, I used to be a major forum hopper. Joined tons of other FF forums and quickly figured out that none of them were like this one. So I let all those other memberships lapse, pretty much.

Right now aside from here I'm a member of Absolute Write, a forum for writers with a heavy emphasis on professional level writing. Authors, editors, agents and publishers all gathered together to discuss craft and everything else. I've been there for about 5 years now and while I find the advice and resources invaluable, it just doesn't feel like 'home', I guess. I lurk there, mostly.

I am a one forum at a time kind of person. I have visited many forums and have spend some time lurking through their threads. When I finally do settle on a forum I tend to stick with it. I take time to find ones that I like and weed out the ones that I do not prefer to be a member of.

I use to surf around until I was refered to a forum from a friend, well it was a whole site. That site was Mikes Morbid Humor. After some time there I found that I liked the members and the community was just amazing. It also didn't help that I knew the owner and his girlfriend at the time in real life.

After about 2 years of being there I was asked to help moderate some of the risk sections of the forum and gained access to the super secret areas that only the most loyal and dedicated members of the site had access too. About a year after that the site went global and caught the eye of a massive amount of people. I continued my moderator ship after the official name change over to Morbidpolooza and after about another year finally decided to hang up my mod hat there.

Shortly after my tenure as a mod the server crashed, hard along with the crash all of the back ups where destroyed. Ever member lost their account and we were all forced to start over. All 11,000+ of my posts were gone for good.

I was not pleased about this and the owner didn't want to quess at the accuracy of his members post counts and decided to leave everyone where they were. Shortly after this I got involved with my wife and forgot about forums for a while.

After my son was born I decided to look for a new home. Spent alot of time searching differnt kinds of forums and decided I would settle with a FF based / SE based website. TFF was the first that I found but I didn't register right away. I lurked like I said at the begining of my post and after sifting through 4-5, I decided this place was the place for me.

My reception was a small one, not many people responded to my Welcome thread, this didn't bother me because I was intentionally acting like a total noob. I didn't intentionally double post that day either haha but I also receive my very first warning ever. I was not turned away by this but was actually pleased to see mods doing their jobs.

So that is my story and I am sticking to it!

There is a brief history of it. Also MMH and MP are not in igsistance anymore or atleast not how they use to be. Mike was sent to prision for something he did that was non site related but they used it against him in the trial. So in turn the site was shut down and has never been reopened by any of the previous members.

Also a point to note that might awnser a few questions: yes I would join another gore site. I have a infatuation with death, get over it.

TFF is one of the main forums I go to. The only other forum I go to is Animeforum. It's pretty busy there, and they even have a chatroom.

Everytime I go there, there's like about more than 10 new topics everyday.
Animeforum is basically a forum for every single anime. No wonder it's so busy......

Fantasy Earth, isn't that the Japan only MMO that SE made like 5 years back? Or am I thinking of another one?

I think I've been a member of a total of like 3 forums, I think. I think I was a part of the Mystical Swordsman Clan, that's the name right (its been forever since FW), which was just a spin-off forum from here for those specifically in the clan. The other was a RP group that I got invited into from Fiction Press of all things. It eventually died.

So TFF is the only forum for me. I did non-member lurk Loco's forum highly infrequently, usually when Mina was trying to show things I couldn't see because they were member only parts of the forum. That and Loco made his LS attached to the forum, but sort of refused to join because I decided at that point to just be a one forum person. It was less to worry about since I already visited TFF more than I probably should back then. Though if I remember right I did allow him to show some of my art work on his main site. Is his main site still around?

I was pretty active at a fairly active message board for the band Primus, because a friend of mine was a member and referred me to it. It was a pretty cool place until everybody started bitching about the mod of the place, then a lot of the more active people went over to another message board started by a member, so they wouldn't feel so oppressed. At that point I basically said "**** it," and left, then eventually found my way around here.

I also lurk around Something Awful a lot (which may not surprise some of you, seeing as several of my avatars and sigs have been direct references to SA jokes), and have an account there but rarely ever post. The only subforums I read there are GBS, E/N, and Let's Play!, because let's face it, those are the only subforums worth reading.

Back when I was apart of Square-Ultima I was told about TFF so for a while I was on both TFF and SU but then SU died and I never came here till whenever I signed up on this account.

I have clan forums for clans and guilds I play video games with, that's about it.

I have a registered account and post occasionally in another unrelated forum, but other than that, TFF has been my first and main forum that I have visited throughout the years!

I am registered on many forums. So many that I don't remember them all. So yeah I'm not really active on a few of them. But the ones I am active on are mainly sports or game related. I have a rotation that I go through a couple times a day. Yeah.. I get bored a lot.

I mostly join forums about things I'm interested in that not many people I know locally are into. RPG forums, the odd forum dedicated to sludge metal or grunge bands I like, a couple modding communities (game mods, not PC hardware mods) and a few communities set up around open source gaming consoles. I'd never been able to stick with a forum for more than a couple months before TFF, so this place is definetely doing something right.

The only other forums I vist are house exchange forums, I wanna move and out council have stupid laws and wont move us, so I'm now a house exchane forum brower, pretty boring huh lol

Oh yeah I often vist the Zynaga forums when I'm mad at the games lol

TFF is the main forum I go to but I'm also a part of the Star Ocean Universe forums and Oddworld Forums.

(Even though the Oddworld forums are dead and they just talk about anything now. They also have homosexual issues and... Well, yeah, it's dead. And the Star Ocean Universe forums have around 8 online members... I guess I'll call this one inactive. =) )

This is my only active forum, although my activity comes and goes in bouts.

I once visited a Bleach forum for a while until I gained myself a weird obsessive stalker. so I haven't visited those boards since. I've been thinking about revisiting if he's gone.

I also joined an RP forum, but there weren't really any RPs that took my interest, and the ones that did would die in no time.

I joined Weebls Stuff for a while, but that never really lasted.

Asside from those, i've only been a part of a couple of forums one of my TFF friends made, until those began to die. Oh yeah, and quite a few years ago I once moderated a Powerpuff Girls forum, although that was only for a few months as the site didn't really take off.

I have visited others. But the only other board I frequent is one called the Tea House. That is mostly to read and learn from the wise people there. It's a Taoist forum.

But in all honesty, this is the only forum that I consider myself pledged to. I will be here for a while yet, I think.

This is my main forum that I visit most frequently. But I'm also a member of Star Ocean Universe, which is a tri-Ace-based site. I believe the founder of it registered on here not too long ago. In any case, it's not entirely that active, but I love it. I joined last July and help moderate it now.

Also, Square Forums is another one I go on at times. I joined last April, I think, and the people there were so nice and welcoming I grew attached to it. It's also where most of my Photoshopping skills grew from; I learned from the styles that the members there use.

Maybe a couple others, and some that I joined but quickly lost interest in.

I'm only active on this forum, really. I've joined quite a few others, like a few band boards, about three other Final Fantasy forums, the Square forums, some girl gamer community, but couldn't stick with them. For some reason, this is the only forum I can't leave, even if I'm just lurking. Every attempt to take a break failed within less than a week. ^^;

I think it's because I wouldn't know where to go, or what I'd enjoy. Also, I think I can discuss everything I need to here, so the need to discuss something elsewhere isn't that desirable. I used to be part of a writing community called mibba, and the forums were full of twelve year-olds that came from some other writing community when that closed down. They were all scene/emo kids, who were convinced that they were bisexual, was in love with Twilight, and argued over pointless things and things they knew nothing about. I think I can live without arguing with toddlers over whether or not Twilight was romantic.

So... I guess I like an older community?

I like to RP, but I dislike how organised most RP forums are - I prefer to design my own character, then freestyle, and adapt instead of following someone else's idea of a story or rules or whatever. Like some game called Vaperida I used to play, in our clan forum we had a bar/pub, and you could do whatever you wanted in there. That was a lot of fun.

Other than that, TFF is my only forum. I tried many forums, mostly FF and Anime forums, but, to be honest, none was really that great and I stayed only for a few weeks. ^^"
Besides, I love the postings in this forum. There are actually people who think about their posts in this forum @..@ And people who aren't afraid of writing more than "Yeah, I like that, because it's cool." <3 (*cough*Anime forum*cough*) ^^"

I suppose TFF will be my only forum when the Anime forum finally dies... ^^"

The first forum I ever joined was Square-Ultima, I always saw forums and never really understood what they were so I joined it, my username was Jade there. I got used to it and then when I started to become active, it died so I started looking around for others. I joined kuponut but everyone there was boring and I made no friends.

I post on a budgie forum "talk Budgies" sometimes for help with my birds when I need it. Other then that just TFF.

I found TFF because I forgot where to find double-cut Materia in VII because I hadn't played for a while and wanted to master all the materia. I found the answer here I think, and then I decided to check out the forum, since mine sucked, and someone had mentioned this one to me before I just didn't bother at the time.
