Why do people want to be nude, with other people? One thought comes to mind, PERVERTS. Seriously. Lets talk about this in a sophisticated and civil manner. Why would one want their frollocking bollucks bouncing around in front of other people? I think many of us would agree thats its incredibly bizzare and unnatural. What kind of people would want this? What happens if you get an erection? That could make things get real awkward real quick. What I want to know is why do people want to be apart of this?

I don't know how somebody could have the desire to do it either. The nude beaches in Europe just don't sound appealing at all. It would be near impossible to have a serious conversation with somebody while you're as bare as the moment you were born, but that's just me. I guess some people are just into the sort of thing.

As the inspiration for this thread, I figure I'll post in it. Firstly, no, I am not a nudist. My family used to live on the same road the colony is on between 2002-2005. We moved when the colony bought more land to expand due to a surge in the number of visitors there. Now, we live at a fully-clothed camping and recreational resort.

The nudist camp near me believes in the motto "I was born naked, and I'm going to die naked. Might as well live life naked." In fact, the colony's residents have jobs in the clothed society. And yes, they do wear clothes when doing those jobs. They just think it better to not wear clothes while at their home.

This next paragraph comes from a neighbor's encounter with them. He told my parents that it isn't really about sex. They live normal lives inside the compound and try to build a more perfect and peaceful society. They tend garden, make food, and do other things clothed people do, just without clothes.

Some people do it for the novelty of it. I mean, how often does a person get to interact with other people while being completely nude? There are both weekend campers and permanent residents at the colony nearby.

I am not against the concept, I believe that people should do what they feel is right (apart from committing crimes determined by the government). If they want to be naked, then they can be as long as they don't insist on being naked in my house. Because I have as much right to be clothed on my property as they do to being nude on theirs.

Haha I don't think you have to be a pervert to enjoy being naked. Have you been skinny dipping with friends before? It's actually a lot of fun and not particularly sexual. Just sort of (as che said) freeing. And you'd think everyone would tense up being naked around each other, but we actually loosened up a LOT, especially when we were in the water. We were all naked, you can't ****ing hide.

I love clothes. I like wearing them. But I get the appeal of being naked at home. Good them for being comfortable naked. Most of us are way too uptight.

I don't have a problem with nudists or being nude, but I feel more comfortable wearing clothes. I don't know how people can live in their homes with their junk hanging out all the time. Firstly, hygiene and cleanliness wise I think it's a little gross. Secondly, I think it's unsafe to be naked all the time - clothes are actually meant to protect you somewhat too.

I'm rarely nude at home. If the place is to myself, I'll chillax nude in my room and walk to and from the bathroom without my towel. I can't sleep unless I'm wearing bottoms and a top of some description. Usually some sweatpants and a band or video game t-shirt. I've tried sleeping with and without the other, and without both, and I just feel icky. ^^;

I wouldn't mind skinny dipping though. I've tried it before at a small stream in the middle of nowhere with some family friends when I was being taken care of one day (my mum had some really hippie friends back then lol). It was weird first off, but when you're in the water it's nice. There were little fish swimming about, and they tickled if you swam through them. xD

Best feeling ever in summer is having a really hot (cold works too, but just trust me on this one) shower, and sitting infront of the fan nude. Instant cool down.

The place near me says that towels are used for drying off and sitting on. The only time clothes are allowed are when women are in the pool during menstruation (and then only bikini bottom).

Nudists are queers. It's a simple fact. If a guy wants to be naked around other guys, then he's gay. If a woman wants to be naked around other women, then she's a lesbian. If a group of people want to be naked together, then they're a bunch of sick perverts.

The fact of the matter is that nudists enjoy defying nature. They think that just because they were born naked means they should for some reason live naked. The human body is fur less. Sure, there's hair, but even the thickest body hair is still pretty goddamn thin compared to other animals. If you don't live in Central Africa, or ****ing Ecuador, you'll be cold most of the day without clothes.

I don't know what nudists are thinking, but wind actually does exist. It doesn't matter if it's hot outside. Eventually the wind is gonna kick up. And even if it is sustainable weather to walk around naked, clothes protect the body from harmful ultraviolet light from the sun. I guess all nudists either go and live under a ****ing rock, or just ignore the fact that they'll most likely develop skin cancer at some point.

Bi***, u could have done that bull sh** in the shower. we got kids sharing this restroom.. well, i turned right around and complained to the front desk.. <<<----- that wasn't the place to be naked

I suppose I should have clarified somewhat. My thoughts arn't exactly with what people wear/dont wear in their own personal homes but more-so nudist camps. Would you would go out of the way to be naked in front of complete strangers? I sleep only with briefs , but thats normal to me because im either with my girlfriend or by myself.

Being a part time nudist myself, I must clarify something.

First of all, someone mentioned erections. It won't happen. Arousal is not allowed, and newcomers are advised to keep a towel with them incase they do get... erm, stimulated. In fact, single men are not allowed at many nudist camps, they must have a significant other with them.

In any case, it's strictly about being liberated and being as you were at birth, there is NO sexy time involved.

Sometimes I do wish the world was one big nudist camp. Not because I'm a perv, but because life would be a lot easier in terms of getting ready, wouldn't have to faff about with clothes, wouldn't have to do any washing and drying. Umm... wat? Was this in the men's changing room? If it was, then it's a perfectly acceptable place to be naked in public. Most changing rooms in gyms and swimming pools over here don't even offer you a cubicle to get dressed and undressed in (unless you're a parent with a child or some children). You're expected to be an adult in these kinds of places, do your business and gtfo.

In my opinion, if you're going to go to a changing room of all places, you should expect to see some junk hanging out.

I don't see why it's such a big issue with men. Women can easily get naked infront of each other and have showers in these places. If it's that much of an issue with a female, they just shower in their swimming gear and sit in their towels until they get dry.
