This event is in London, at the Execl centre, I was just wondering if anyone else is going to this event. Its a Anime/Manga/Video game event, with plenty of publishers going to be there.

I'm going this year. I've been twice now, and I love it. Dressing up, getting free hugs from everyone, eating noodles, listening to kewl anime music, walking around the centre twice/three times to see everything... spending loads of money on stuff I don't really need...
I'm going. I wanna go twice this year though. I was supposed to go in October, but I went Euro Gamer instead. XD

I shall keep a weather eye out for a Captain Kisuke on the 28th of May then! As for me... I have no idea what I'm going to dress as. I guess I have time to think on it and come up with something.
I plan hanging around and listening to some interviews this year. Last year in May I didn't get to because I got there late, and it was chaos. I'd also like to pick up some comic books if I can find some decent, chronologically ordered ones.

Raising this thread slightly from the dead to say that I will also be going to the London MCM expo on the Saturday. I'll keep a look out for Captain Kisuke, and you should look out for Franziska Von Karma!
Been wanting to go for years. Finally decided to bite the bullet and go despite lack of interest/money with friends.

I was at the anime expo in NY, maybe 6 or 7 years ago when I met Tiff. It is most certainly the annual running of the nerds. The entire place reeked of stale Doritos and desperation.

It may end up as "nerd day out", but I say that it's something any anime/manga/gaming fan should give a go at least once. If it's crap then I know not to go again. There are a lot of different areas, including one on traditional Japan, which should be interesting. I'm also wanting to join in on the drawing competition as I do like to be a bit of a show-off sometimes!
Although I do have a life outside my "geeky interests", I see this as a good time to express my geekiness and meet other people with similar interests. I can also get over my slight fear of being in London. I've walked around Bristol and Swindon solo a few times, so I am getting over my "big city" fear quite well.
