My opinion on this is:
"To each his own"...or rather her...or, their own.
Nowadays, there are so many different ways to find love, or in lieu of love, someone to procreate with. All of the dating websites got their premise from the Mail Order business. It is just digitized and photoshopped now. If someone wants to go that route, then let them, and don't look down on them for it. Maybe the way you meet that special someone is not the "right" way for someone else, and vice versa.
Personally, I wouldn't go that route. But if worse comes to worse, I wouldn't totally say "No" to it.
