I've been said to sound like a winy old fellow by a friend lately. Must be because I really had enough of all the stories I'd hear of people getting beat up at parties in my city, even more so than in my time. It's always fridays, when the young people (meaning not the college students, cause they're off to home in weekends, except for me, cause I live in the city) go party. I could go into detail but then I'd be wining again. Seriously.
Same for the music "these kids these days" listen to. The gap between main stream and good original music has never been bigger. I don't see how young people can buy (not literally, although literally too...) those same formulas being used over and over again.
Sure once in a while there's this really catchy tune, that's actually good because it's catchy and all, great at parties. You always need music that everyone knows. But people who listen to the commercial shite they (wrongfully!) call R&B dare to say that "it's not all the same"...
But when you say you listen to guitar music Ho-Ho, they think they know what you listen to, cause "it all sounds the same". No it doesn't, you little fukcers don't know shit about what I mean by "guitar music".
There, that's of my chest (again -_-).
Yes, I tend to be a grumpy old man, but not by rule or anything. As a Literature Science student it's kind of logical that I'm not conservative in my political views I guess. After all, when you study Liberal Arts, you're supposed to be open to change.
Literature has brought lots of change/rebellion in that area.
EDIT: Don't think I hate R&B (present day use of the term) or anything! It's not my taste, but I can appreciate hiphop and stuff like that, cause they tend to be somewhat original.
