Question If you could live or visit anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Hey all, the world is a big place, with all sorts of neat places to visit, or live if you wanted to. Outta all these places, where would you like to visit or live at? And why? I would like to live in Paris, France, because of the smells, the sounds, the people, the french/Italian restrurants, the Eiffel Tower ( always wanted to see it), and the beautiful scenery. Much better then a smoggy city. I love Paris, I always wanted to visit it, and live there one day, its a very beauitful place. Where would you like to visit or live anywhere in the world?

    Oooh, such a hard decision.

I'd love to go everywhere. Italy in first place, I think, then France.

I wouldn't live abroad, I'm happy with the way things are in this country, but I'd want to visit other places in Europe a lot...

I'd like to visit Poland and Russia, too, since I'm Polish-Russian.

I really want to live in Australia. I went there last month & it's great. Nothing compared to Greece. People there have manners, the social system seems to work, at least better than ours over here & people's lives are better; many qualities.

I mostly like Sydney. It's a great city, big, but not overflowing with people, with many big buildings but really green at the same time.

    EDITED:

    For instance:

    4. http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o...r/HPIM1304.jpg

If not there, Adelaide would also be good. It's a wide & tidy city. Plus, i have (rich) family there.

After i finish school, i want to go there to live & come back here only for vacation. That's mostly because the governments every time are always useless & things get worse for every generation; life gets more expensive, while money earned & pensions are either stable or reduced little by little.

I want to visit the Amazon rainforest due to it's lovely plantlife and wildlife. I'm a big lovers of reptiles and amphibians, and like all animals including arachnids. It would be a once in a lifetime trip, and i'd love to go there but the main problems whould be 1) tropical diseases, 2) the humidity and 3) I'm fussy when it comes down to meats and am intollerant to most fruits so thats most jungle food out of the question!

I'd like to visit Japan due to the interesting culture, also for my interests in Japanese history, arts and animation. I'd rather go once I master the language a bit though. My French is more than enough to get me around France but I lack a lot of essential Japanese language. I also have to be able to speak a language before I go somewhere, since I hate arrogance of people who go to foreign-speaking places and expect to get by in their native tongue.

Norway and Canada would be nice to visit, again due to beautiful scenery, but i'd have to go at the hottest time of year since I really hate the cold. Australia and New Zealand are definatly in my top countries list too.

As for living, i'm happy living in the UK. The tax is stupid, and stuffs a little expensive, but i'm close to family and friends, a huge diversity of food and there is some really pretty places depending on where you go. One thing that would make me happier though would be if they brang back Lucky Charms cereal but thats another subject altogether!

I'd really like to live in Belgium one day, in a city called Ghent. Shuttered flats over the canal...

Or France. Just Europe, the warm bits. It's just so much more open, relaxed, than the UK. Everyone here seems up themselves compared with most of Europe (Paris excepted, and northern Italy), and they're so het up.

Cafes with tables on the street where you can smoke and drink tea. The Belgian way of doing tea is great. They always seem to give you a clear cup on a clear saucer filled with hot water, and a tray of different teabags to choose from. Asking for milk always interests and confuses them, and they'll usually glare at you a little until you mention that you're Scottish and not English.

I'm happy living anywhere near a coastline, as long as its not a big tourist attraction. Kinda like where i live now except maybe a little more remote.

As for places i'd like to visit, i'm fortunate enough to have seen one already... the Niagara Falls and next year i'll be going to the Grand Canyon, so there's 2 i can chalk off haha. Other than those i'd really love to see some of the Inca temples in the Amazon Rainforest, and finally the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights to normal people... always wanted to see them, they look so awesome on all the pictures i've seen so would be great to see them with my own eyes XD.

CLOUD, I used to live there! It is a really nice city. There's many very interesting people there, too. Not hard to find somebody that you'll get along with.

Anyway, me. Sounds odd, but my first pick at the moment would be the U.S. Mainly because there are a lot of people over there that I know and would like to meet.

As for climate, I really like cold places. I'd like to go to Canada or Alaska.

And of course Italy, as that's where alot of my family comes from.

Aww, the U.S. isn't that unusual to visit. I love America. We have some really cool shit. Mountain ranges, thermal activity, beaches, the deep South and the Spanish moss on the huge oak trees, the huge cities up north, the climate, the seasons... America's pretty awesome.

Politically? Oh hell. We're in a mess. As awesome as America is, I'm actually considering other places where the transition wouldn't be too unusual. Like Canada. I'd like to visit the Canadian wilderness. I just find miles of unknown territory so cool. And Alaska would be cool. Australia would be easy as far as language, but I would miss my winters being in December. If possible, I'd like to keep living in the northern hemisphere. But I'd love to visit Australia. And the UK is certainly an option. I'd love to visit there anyway. And I'd like to see Scotland with my dad because our ancestry is from there, I believe.

Other places? Well... I'm about to attempt to learn Italian so obviously, I'm interested in being a visitor. And if I can learn Italian, maybe I can learn Chinese. I always thought it would be neat to visit my old roommate in her home in Beijing. And yeah, Japan would be cool if I studied up on the culture like... a lot. And I'd like to visit Greece with my dad too. He lived there for some time while he was in the Navy, so I figure he would make a good guide.

Ummm. And I was interested in pretty much every destination chosen by the Delta Sightseer Challenge. Budapest, Copenhagen, Buenos Aires and Dubai.

I'm going to need to make a good deal of money, it seems.

I have been to Las Vegas a few times, and I love it there. Its so sleazy and fake, its unbelievable.

I am considering moving to Alaska when I am done with school. It is so nice and remote, and beautiful at remote times. Plus, I could visit Canada with a lot of ease. Russia too.

Let's see, I would love to visit America, Japan, Italy, maybe New Zealand and perhaps Scotland. I have always wanted to go to America, ever since I was a kid because there are a ton of wonderful cities and monuments. There are also a ton of beautiful beaches and other lovely places.

I've wanted to go to Italy for a long time too because from what I have seen on television, it is absolutely gorgeous. The old buildings and views are stunning. I loved learning about Rome in Ancient History, it always interested me and seeing pictures of it made me want to go even more. It's just so pretty to me.

Japan is just awesome, I'd like to go there but it looks awfully crowded and you hear about all these illnesses going around, I don't think I would like to be standing in a huge group of people at risk of catching something. Then again maybe it isn't like that at all, I wouldn't have a clue but that's what you see on television. Japan looks like quite a wonderful place to go though.

New Zealand is just a place with lots of beautiful towns and cities. The scenery, as most of us know is rather breath taking. It would be lovely to go and see it.

Actually, I loved Europe when I visited. It's just a different air than the states, especially since (even in London) there wasn't nearly as much population density as Long Island. It felt quite free, to be honest.

Actually, in conflict with what I said above, I would love to visit Japan. Tokyo's a bit packed for my liking, but I'm extremely interested in history over there.

I'd visit Australia and Paris. I say Australia because I've met a few good Aussies from the internet and it'd be cool to see them in person, and also cause I love Aussie accents... and I want to try meat pies. Paris, well.. I'd like to visit Paris because the "real" Phantom of the Opera house is there. I quote real because it's the same opera house where the chandelier fell and the one the book was based off of(but it doesn't mean all those events actually happened). I think it'd be pretty cool to go on the tour and check it out.

Really tough question, but i guess i would end up visiting Europe as a whole. Mainly because there are so many different cultures present in such a restricted zone as well as history.

A close second though, would be Australia. Mainly because i would have to stalk Celtic_Silver and then jump him from behind while he sleeps...

I would love to visit Europe, germany, france, all those awesome places, finish high school, "borrow" some money from parents and take a while to travel around Europe, chances of that happening? not high. But would be nice.
I doubt I would ever live over there, I'm happy with the way Australia is at the moment.

O_o. I'm hoping you were at least 1/4 as drunk as I am now when you wrote that...

Personally, I want to go to the parts of America some movies show...
I don't know if any still exist, but nice frontier type places with diners, nice motor bikes, a whole bunch of rednecks who love a good brawl and some lovely ladies.

And around Europe. I reckon it'd be awesome taking in all the sights and European culture. Things like Stonehenge sound cool, and I've always wanted to take on several dozen Irishmen in a drinking contest...

Oh and Japan. I want to find a real Japanese blade to hang on my wall, none of that Chinese made fakery you see on ebay...
And the culture too. And I wanna see if I can tip a sumo. Cow tipping is one thing, Sumo tipping?

Oh and every other place. Oh yes, it'd be so cool and random to go everywhere and do everything, especially if you went to several places with conflicting views/policies/religion/whatever else in the one day ^^

I would say France. But that is only because half my family lives there. I think it would be nice to live there and see my other side of the family. I love everything French so I think I would fit in fine.

I have been to Japan so it doesn't count but I used to want to live there. Still kind of do.

I'd love to visit all the little, unpopular islands that haven't been named. It's quite a ncie feeling imagining being somewhere that not many people have been before.

And I wouldn't want to live outside of London. It's a beautiful city full of culture. Its my home. I never want to leave.

I would say Europe, France, and Japan. Something different, and any place that has really unique buildings. I'd like to be exposed to different cultures and foods. I actually hope I get to travel a lot. Also, any place that isn't so freaking hot. Our weather is super retarded.

Well, I guess I wouldn't really want to live anywhere other than where I am at right now. I wouldn't want to live too far from my family. I wouldn't mind visiting places though.

I've always wanted to go back to Colorado and spend a few weeks there. I loved how beautiful it was, and I am a big fan of snow. When my family and I went there last time, it was in July and it was snowing! I thought that was so neat!

I want to visit Australia too, because I think that there is some beautiful and interesting stuff to see. I would love to see the coral reefs, and maybe do a little outback exploring.

Anywhere in Europe would be pretty cool. I probably would like England or Italy the best, but I'm not picky. Anywhere would be fine with me, as long as there is some cool stuff to see.

Finally, I would like to go to Peru. My friend is from there, and she talks about it all the time. I may have a chance to go there soon, if I get the money together in time, and get over my fear of flying. That sort of hinders me from going to any far away places.
