I have a proposition for some of you.
I used to post on TFF a lot. As you can see, I registered back in '02 when I was but a wee little Gillamobster. Being the dumb kid that I was, I used to RP and RPB and participate in all sorts of silly shit because I hadn't yet realized it was totally ****ing gay. Then I lost interest, or got angry at the mods, or something--I forget--and the server crashed and everyone's data was lost and I asked the Fuzz to just restore my post count to 200 because I forgot the real number (it was in the thousands) and that's how many I needed to make a custom title. Now I come back here once in a while, entirely out of boredom, just to **** around and make derisive comments at a wide variety of assholes.
Not much has changed. You can still find prepubescent nerds engaging in role-playing battles and people still jerk off to their post counts, but those things will never change. However I think there's one thing that can be changed and I think we can change it:
Totally lame-ass posts.
Going through the "Intellectual Discussion" section of the forum--which is incidentally a tremendous misnomer--I saw thread after thread along the lines of:
Subject: Evolution
Body: "According to my middle school text book, evolution is... blah blah blah. Thoughts?"
or
Subject: Penis Envy
Body: "Sometimes I wish mine were bigger. Lets contemplate the nature of bigger penises and why I want to suc--I mean, why I want to have one. Is it something intrinsic in our masculinity? Is it society's fault? Lets have a completely masturbatory discussion on the matter"
Threads like those are ****ing stupid and they irritate me. So I propose we, the cooler members of this forum, band together and call these posters out on their assholitude. I know back when I was a hyper-active member of the forum I could've really benefited from an older-brother like figure to step in and say to me, "You're being totally gay, stop it." So lets do the same for one another!
