Well we know it was bad, but this isn't so much about the damage done. I guess this is for everyone who's worrying if people are ok or not. I've seen plenty of worry about us east coasters on facebook, and I'm sure some people here are mildly concerned as well. Thanks for that btw.

That being said, I'm fine, as is Tiff. I have full power, didn't lose power at that. A lot of people near me weren't so lucky, but I came out of it unscathed. I guess anyone else in the path can and probably should post here just so everyone knows everyone's alright.

I posted in my blog about it already, but I'm good here. Just far enough north that I escaped the worst of it. Still a lot of tree damage and power outages around here, but that I know of, not a lot of flooding. Didn't even lose power, which is a miracle in itself.

Apartment building and work got flooded, but I'm good in another state. Power's fine and the only tree around us that fell was on the other side of the street.

I was right in the middle of it. It wasn't too bad. My power only went out once, and it came back on about four hours later, so I wasn't too bored. And work was cancelled two days in a row, so that's a plus.

My dogs didn't like it. They didn't want to go outside, and the only way they'd go is if I went with them, because they're spoiled brats. It was also the perfect day to fly a kite, and I'm pissed off that I didn't have a kite to fly. I tried to go out and get one during the hurricane shopping rush, but apparently kites aren't a necessity during a hurricane. I don't know what people are thinking. There are strong winds, and kites are supposed to be flown in wind, so why the hell wouldn't anybody be selling a kite?!

Also, I am very proud that New Jersey got struck so hard during the hurricane. Of all places that it could have struck, it struck the worst state in the United States. That's luck.

Yeah, but it also hit Breezy with a shitstorm, and Breezy is an awesome little beach community. Everyone there just drinks and lays out in the sun. They didn't deserve what happened. As for Jerz, the damage is massive, but meh, it's dirty Jerz.

Glad to hear you are ok Pete heard that it was f*cked up through there. We got lots rain from it here so yay. Hope that everyone else who was effected by this are alright.
