The weather is actually pretty nice in my part of Western Canada. It's November (which usually means we have just a ton of snow) and it's about 10 degrees Celsius and sunny.

This summer we had a wind storm that was just totally brutal (winds were more than 100 km per hour) and my dad went out to tie down anything that could fly away off of our loft deck. We have a large, glass table out there that must weigh around 40 pounds, so my dad decided that it was safe to leave untied and went to work on the other stuff like deck chairs. All of a sudden, a huge gust of wind came, lifted the table up, and threw it on him. He was okay, but pretty amazed at how strong those winds were.
