How good are you at Maths?

In all fairness, this is simple. I was checking my mails on hotmail, and I saw this:

I didn't use a calcuator, just wrote notes using notepad, and I got 7/10! Pretty good if I dont say so myelf!

So, even if you don't do the test, how good are you at maths? If you do do the test, post your result (if you want) and please don't use a calculator!

I got 6/10. I actually thought I was gonna do worse than that, so I'm quite pleased ^^; haha.

As for Maths in general, though, I'm not very good. I bloody hate Maths. I usually need my friend Kris to tell me the answers to all the questions whenever we're in our Maths lesson, haha. He's done my homework twice, hehe. But yeah, Maths just aint my thing. Neither is Science. Stuff like Art, Music and English I enjoy. ^^

Mental mathematical skill is what helped me pass the Mensa test so forgive me but I got all 10 correct. One question did stump me however, the Brownies one, but it soon dawned on me. Maths was a subject I always did rather well in so I'm rather pleased I did well on this test. Looking at the level of questions I would say anything from 6 would be a very good score. It's not as easy as it looks. And it doesn't look all that easy.

I got ten out of ten. It was a fairly easy quiz. I was almost certain that I was absolutely horrible in math, seeing as though I tested into a math fundamentals course for college, meaning that I got about 40% of the math questions correct on the placement test. So either these questions are psyching people out and that's the reason that they're getting the questions incorrect, or I improved. Or, a third option, I knew math the entire time, and the only reason I tested into a math fundamentals class was because the placement test psyched me out. I don't know. I'm inexplicable even to myself.

It's funny, I forgot maths could be like that what with all the stupid calculus and stuff that I do in maths just now... I haven't done maths like that for at least 2 years!

I got 9/10, because I forgot to add in the first ten minutes with the stupid air mattress. I did it all in my head, without paper, so that might count for something.

Like Martin, I've always been good at maths.

Count in the extra credit I should get for having to do them with out American dollars and metric measurements. You know, because the first thing I had to do with each question is figure in exchange rates ...

I got an 8/10 without paper or pencil.

I made the same mistake as Sasquatch with the mattress question, where I forgot the first 10 minutes.

I also messed up on the tip question because I wasn't thinking what the proper amount would be, but rather what I would throw in if I was in the situation. We always throw in extra for tax and tip and then work it out after all the money is collected.

Yeah I got a 8/10. I LOVE Math but I got the last two wrong because I can't do that much math in my head at once!

I'm good at some parts of maths, mostly that which might apply for me in real life. Had they included some of the more advanced stuff I'd be likely not to use, I'd see my score as likely being a decent amount lower.

That happened to me too, and I figured it out pretty quickly. I still felt stupid when it dawned on me.

God I hate math. I've always been pretty good at it though. Since middle school I've been in the advanced math classes, and in my senior year, I took the AP Calculus test and got a 4/5 on it (a 3 is passing). Yeah. I kicked that test's ass. Since that though, I just took an Algebra class in my first semester of college simply because it was a requirement. I'm honestly a little surprised the test was easy for me. I figured I'd be a little rusty.

Wow im the lowest so far, i only got 5/10, i have always sucked big time at maths, sometimes i cant even understand the question and i just take a random guess, i cant handle math at all, if i try and work something out i get frustrated and upset over it, so i just leave it.

I despise mathematics. I suck at it, beyond any and all reason, despite working in a bureau de change. My ego forbids me from taking the test, ahaha.

I just hate maths. I always have. I remember when I, by some fluke of the Divine or administration, got into Higher maths when I was 16. As part of Highers here, you take tests called NABs on occaison, and you have to pass them all to be allowed into the exam. I didn't make it past the first one.

My teacher came to collect my paper, and I had to politely tell her that it was in the bin. It was a blank piece of paper with some sad faces and the number 42 written on it, and a poem I wrote about why I hate polynomials. She smiled and asked me if I'd like to go next door to the Int 2 class, where we watched Uncle Buck instead of doing anything. It was an excellent day.

I've never really liked mathematics at all, but for some reason i was really good at it o.O. Or during high school i was anyway, all the way up until important exams hit then i'd bottle it and get some mediocre score haha. I think i got 98% in 1 maths test, then 2 months later in the GCSE's got a B haha.

I didn't do too bad when i went to University, passed 2D maths pretty easily in my first year... but the second year had 3D maths and that was like banging my head against a brick wall XD, still scored the highest in the class for the exam, unfortunatly the entire class failed the exam and i failed by 1 mark >.<. Despised maths ever since

even though I hate doing math story problems, especially in calculus ("Story problems in Calculus? GTFO!" - One of my friends in HS during the first week of Calc I class.) I got a 9/10, probably because I miss-clicked or something. It was a great 10 minute waste of my time, no doubt. lol.

8/10. Whee. For the tip question, I forgot about myself and instead divided the bill by four rather than five. I it were four, I'd have been correct. =P And for the brownie question, I chose 18x18 as I thought that were the box 15x15, the brownies actually wouldn't fit and you'd need to lop a bit off some of them. I really should have just gone with the most simple answer. Unless it said the inside was 15x15. Which serves me right for not reading the question and thinking too hard.

I like to think I'm good at maths, seeing as though I two lots of it at school. I get As, so I'll make the assumption I am. I enjoy doing maths as well, especially algebra. I lurve algebra. I could do it all day. =D I'm a maths nerd. Yays.
