Have you ever lost something and never found it?

I spent the last few days searching for my skateboard trucks and I can't find them anywhere. I turned both the cellar and the attic upside down, as well as my bedroom and it seems like the trucks disappeared in a black hole somewhere.

I had the same thing happen with a frisbee. I lost it somewhere in the house about a year ago ago, and we never found it.

It's fucking frustrating.


So have you ever lost something to then never find it?

Yes this just happened to me, I went to check out my file from my FFVII game and when I started it up the game wouldn't respond to my dual shock PS2 controller, so I looked where I left my original PS controller at and it's gone. No idea where it went, frustrating that I can't play a game that I have owned for years. Ugh and since my PS3 isn't backwards compatible I'm stuck not being able to play FFVII!!! What is that

I lose clothes all the time, and I can never find them again (and yeah, I know how that sounds ). It's mostly been socks and a couple of shirts, maybe a pair of pants. I think my mom has a hand in some of that. I will wear a favorite t-shirt or pants until it's pretty threadbare or full of holes, and still won't get rid of it. I think that when I go and do my laundry, my mom will take out the "undesirable" articles, and throw them out. I don't really care if she actually does do that, but it is kind of annoying to not be able to find that one tank top that I really like.

Damn I have lost so much shit. In high school I lost my sweet DarkStar skateboard. It was f*ckin awesome. Independent trucks, and spitfire wheels. Damn I loved that thing. Anyway me and my bro's went to go skating. When I went to grab my board I realized it was gone. I searched my entire room, the basement, and most of my house. I never found it. I bought a new board the next day, but it wasn't the same.

A few weeks ago I bought a universal remote cause my room mate broke the stock remote that came wit our Vizio. I sat it down after programing it. Went to the kitchen. When I came back it was gone. I was the only one in the house. I thought maybe it fell inside the coach or under it. Nope it was gone. I paid $50 for that damn thing.

i lost my wallet before and never saw it again...(sigh*). then i remembered i was holding my teddy bear figure while looking over a sewer hole...silly me...and i dropped it in there. then i told the custodian there to open the lid and suck all the sewer water out from a machine but he still couldnt find it. poor teddy bear. but he is vivid in my memory. ~_~

Not so much never did find it as never WILL find it. I can remember one item I'll never forget.

When I was a kid, talking 7-8, I had an Aladdin magic lamp keychain. Real small. Anyway, when our house was getting built, they were applying the cement. I don't know why, but I think I left it ON the cement. It was covered with more cement and gone forever.

I don't know why I did it, but I do know I'll never, EVER see that keychain again.

I lost a ring... and I must have lost it outside the house somewhere. This time last year, I decorated my room, so I went through everything when moving my furniture into my grandmother's room. When I say everything, I certainly mean it, but still couldn't find my ring.

When Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness came out, I bought the concept art book... I remember giving it to my mum because she wanted to test out her new scanner at the time and wanted the front cover, and I never saw it again. She's searched her room, I've searched mine, and to no avail.

Also, I've lost my copy of Final Fantasy VIII. It couldn't have left my room because there would be no other room to play it in, - all the Playstation consoles are in my bedroom.

Yeah actually recently I lost something, and later found what I was looking for which made me even more upset at the end of it all

I have these super cool expensive headphones that also work as a headset for game consoles and computers, so I occasionally take them along to lans and stuff that I attend. One day after unpacking, I could not find the detachable micpiece that goes with the headphones! I spent like two seperate days looking for it and contacting people to see if they had it. On the third night I got so fed up that I went to the website I bought the headset from and ordered a new micpiece, and with shipping and everything it cost me over 30 dollars just for that, so I wasn't too happy. About ten minutes later I go downstairs and hook my stuff up to play, and guess what I find sitting on top of the Xbox like it was never gone the whole time -_-. Not a happy camper that day.

There are very few things that I've lost and never found, however when I do lose something it tends to stay lost for a very long time, usually only reemerging after I've stopped looking for it, given up on it, and sometimes forgotten I'd lost it.

However, I did recently come to realize I've lost track of my GPS. Ironic, isn't it? I'm pretty sure I lent it to my mom's fiancee and he put it down and lost it--happens so often I've come to call it The Joe Effect. If he picks something up and takes it somewhere, you are not going to see it again for a minimum of six months. So I'm hoping my GPS does turn up sooner or later. They actually gave it to me as a gift a couple years ago.

Half my games/CDs/hats/anything smaller. My room mysteriously consumes things from time to time and they often appear during a random search for something else at a later date. Some haven't been seen in some time...

Because of this I tend to put my newer stuff on well organized shelves.

My copy of Crash Bandicoot 2 on the PS1. I lost it about 10 years ago, and have never found it to this day. I didn't remember lending it to anyone, so I think someone nicked it.

I've also lost my gameboy advance, which had my copy of Pokemon Ruby in it. That annoyed me, as I had a lot of good Pokemon on that! I really need to look through all my old crap thoroughly to find the bloody thing. I've also lost my pair of black shorts that I bought last year.

Its stupid really, as I take care of my important stuff. I have no idea whatsoever about what happened to my GBA.

Yeah, when i was younger i had a gameboy advanced sp, and for some reason i just couldn't find the charger. I only charged the damn thing in my bedroom and it never left the house, so where the hell did it go?

I just discovered that it is compatible with PSOne games but I had just never tried them because my PS2 discs didn't work. It was a wonderful surprise considering I thought I wouldn't be able to play at all. Now I'm looking into getting the accessory to transfer all my files from my memory cards to my PS3 Hard Drive and I'll be set to go

I've lost a shirt I really liked when I was at my Aunt's house. I believe it went missing during the washing process. I also lost a polo shirt I really liked when I was in eleventh grade. I have a picture of the shirt and I believe that was the last time I wore it and I have no idea what happened. I lost my Pokemon Red Version for the longest time only to find when I was rearranging my bookshelf because of the amount of books I had - it had fallen into the crack.

But, the worst thing I lost, which I'll never forget was my tiny ninja turtle toys. Everytime I would drop one, I would NEVER find it again. I hated it. I looked everywhere gave up, my mom swept the floor, then I knew I'd never find it.

lol, yes. This has happened to me on several occasions. I am unorganized but some things just go POOF. I had some GB Advance games, and i knew where they were for the longest time, and then they were gone. I also had the FF1&2 combo, and that went poof (though i suspect my friend has that lying around somewhere) Some weirder things that have disappeared are a remote. I bought a new remote, and in about a week it was gone. Never found it, and i even moved since then, so it was just GONE. Also, i lost a nice digital clock. I lent it to my sister, and she swears she gave it back, but i never found it. I swear, half the stuff my sister prolly stole. Anyway, i would love to get some of that stuff back. OH. I also lost a shirt. It just disappeared out of my rotation, and was no longer in my laundry basket. lol.

Now, my friend Joey and I went to the Barnes and Noble tournaments (we were da coolest kids ) and one time I beat someone and tied for second, and got this really awesome card as a prize. I forgot what it was called, but I know it had pretty high stats. Anyway, I added it to my deck, went home, and when I went to play at school the next day, I tried to find it in my deck to show it to my friend, but it wasn't there! I layed out the cards in array and checked each one, turned my room upside down, couldn't find it! I was NERDRAGIN'!

Hmm, I've lost numerous toys when I was a kid. I've lost books, magazines, and games. I've also lost various articles of clothing, mainly hats.....
Actually maybe the only think I have really lost is my memory......

Today I lost my Xbox 360 controller. Have yet to find it. I had a back up but I lost it years ago.
