I tried to google myself on two separate occasions, but I never succeeded. The first time, I managed to arrive at the google search engine, but I forgot what my name was.

The second time, I remembered what my name was, but I forgot what google was.

One time- a lot of years ago, I made a blog with my real name and stuff and for whatever reason my dad found it and got livid wicked pissed that I said my family is dysfunctional. Truth hurts, though. But I deleted it promptly.

Oh and once I got into geneology 'cuz I wanted to learn more about my dad's side of the family since it's way complicated and I don't know much about it .. I made a post on some geneology site asking about my family name and looking for people related to us that I don't know about and asked about my grandfather.. My dad got mad about that, too, and asked why I didn't just ask him.

I've avoided using my real name as much as possible since then.

My sister and dad are googleable though.

My facebook page comes up if I google my entire name, first entry. If I google just my nickname plus my last name, there are a lot of those in the world, however. There is even a semi-famous french canadian singer who shares my name. It's kinda annoying because I find his music pretty boring.

My last name's pretty common. If you Googled it you'd probably find more about an old British car company (Morris) than anything related to me. Maybe I should buy a Morris Minor some day, and live on Morris street, which isn't too far from where I'm living right now.

It'll be different because it's your name on your computer, google will do searches for YOU because YOU are searching for YOU. If you type any of our names in on your computer you wont get the same results as me searching for Kyle Christensen.

I just tried it. I went 30 pages without finding anything relating to me. That's after the Indian Dental Studies award named in my honour, and the personal page of someone who shares my name and happens to be in the Church of Scientology.

I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

On a system I've never used before, I still pop up multiple times on page one. I don't exactly try to be incognito either. I keep my shit secure so I don't mind my name getting tossed around.

Thank god for common names. You still find my work and can stalk me if you add "photography" to it though. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing given that work contacts might find my nerd work. Also, you can basically find everything else linked to that. But otherwise I'm generally not up there!

Other than that, there's things about a dead high school football player with my name, and stuff about a person with my name being arrested in Kentucky.

I've done it a couple of times. Real name and usernames. I either find something funny to laugh at or cringe at things from the past that I wish I could wipe away if I knew the passwords to those old accounts. On the odd occasion I find someone else using a name I commonly used to use and it just makes me uncomfortable. I think it's mainly because I'm the one occupying the majority of the search results and then suddenly there's this one person with the same name as me registered on something I'd never touch or display any kind of interest in.

Depends on what you mean. I like googling my old screen names from time to time. As for my real name, I usually get some ballet dancer I kind of look like. I wish I could use it as a good pick up line..."Hey gurl, google me, my body is rock hard."
