I know that this may be a pointless topic but I'm very confused. At the end of this year, I'll be graduation and entering high school next year. In my school for the past 2 years we've been taught how to dance Salsa. And basically I'm wondering whether at the grad dance it will be those types of dances. I'm pretty sure that in a banquet hall you do these sort of dances but you could say that last year in the trip where I went to Quebec, in a similar place we just danced to some pop music so I got confused. So~~ I'm just wondering that simple question. For those who answer, tnx in advance.

Oh hey there, thanks for opening! Here is a little section filled with my goodies here and there.
Aha, this all happened last year to me too...only we didn't dance Salsa, heh. You're entering High School next year, right? So this is Primary/Elementary graduation...well, to be honest, I think for the dance they'll start teaching you all sorts of stuff. That was just for me though, it may differ for all schools...
If you're religious, just pray they won't hit you with that shit, and then calm down. I'm sure you will be able to cope with whatever required dancing.

Yeah, Scottish dancings always good fun. It's what we did. Before we all went out after and got drunk.....
Well, regardless, enjoy it. Think of it as a last send off and a chance for some cheap food.
Eh rly... oh well, I just guess that it depends on the schools then. But I don't think that my school is going to do Scottish dancing since we're probably in different countries.
Oh well, might as well wait until next month. Thank you to those who replied (ppl can still for I am still wondering after this but... heck)

Well in Canada especially during grad dances I have witnessed that the only music they play is the kind no one wants to dance to, rather it is the kind that turns your mind to mush and puts you into a silly trance of awkward motions.
Ne'er fear though an easy remedy for this is to tie a pink ribbons around those two toes right beside the pinky toe (The one that had none). One on each foot should fix the problem.
Ok that was all made up, in all seriousness since it is your middle school where the taught you salsa you may get one or two who knows, most likely if it is like anything I've experienced it is going to be the pop stuff they played in Quebec. Feel free to ask someone that knows what is happening at the graduation banquet. You may even get to suggest to have some salsa dancing.
Well at my freshman mixer (thats what we call it up in the states) there was a bunch of incoming freshman in the dance floor for like the first hour and the music that they played was all like the bump and grind stuff, you know the stuff you get in trouble for if the parents/teachers catch you doing, the stuff that looks like you are having humping each other, the, well you get the picture. Then after the first hour all the upperclassmen joined in the fun, and they were like all guys so pretty much all the freshman had no dance partners for awhile, lol. But this is just from my experience, and since you don't go to my school (or do you...? dun dun dun lol) you may or may not have a different experience, so idk really, just be prepared for anything and most of all go out and have a lot of fun.

Then again this one is kind of on the outs with me if she doesn't straighten up and fly right so that means I will be back in it for the thrill of the kill. Got some in the reserves. Even got a rePETEr (<---- like that ay? AYYYYY?) on the back burner.
Block: I do like the rePETEr except it kinda makes it sound like you're going to pork Pete. No homo.

I'm guessing you're in Middle School since you say you're going to High School. My grad dance in 8th grade was nothing fancy like Salsa, Tango, Merenge, whatever you want to call it. As Rocky had mentioned, my grad dance was nothing but Rap and R&B. And people did do a lot of grinding as well in their dresses and suits. Some people even double sandwhiched. =O The dances over here aren't traumatizing as it sounds. They're pretty much fun most of the time out here.

Eh. >.> Sadly, he's right.
You may have learned that, but all schools teach random fancy dances to their students. My school taught us square dancing, but I'm hoping like crazy none of that will be expected at the dance. You'll get funky music with booming beats, or weird music that'll make you want to sit down and sleep. That's what my school's dance committee told us to expect, and since you're leaving middle school too, you should probably expect the same.
If you do end up doing the salsa though, I wish you luck.
