    Is this a good price?

Just want to know peoples thoughts.

Final Fantasy Games 1,2,4,5,6,7,8 and 9 all in cases with manuals for $500.

Is that a good price? I'm not exactly sure. If it is, I so hope I can find $500! As I'd love to own them all!

Re: Is this a good price?

I am remember seeing the entire collection of Final Fantasy go up on Ebay for about $500,but that was a long time ago! Anyways,I really don't know. If they're in a good or new condition I would highly think about it,but hey..when it comes to prices and shopping..I am clueless! Lol

Hehehe I'm clueless too! I think it is probably the best price out there. I have to hurry and do my tax so I can buy it! I'll probably miss out!!! I WAS going to buy a computer or a furniture package with my tax return, but now I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO! Too many choices! Aaargh! Lol.

Re: Is this a good price?

I'm guessing this would be $500 in Australian currency? Or were you using the American dollar? Is this a used set?

I ask this because even if they have the manuals they shouldn't be that much, unless some are new which may not be true. You could get all of them for probably half that amount. You may not get the manuals but you seem more interesting in playing them then collecting them as well. So you could skip out on the manuals, plus there be the internet that could tell you button functions.

This does not seem like a good deal from what I see.

Really because I've seen a set like that for way more. Of course a distinction between Australian currency and the US dollar would be better to determine the answer.

Re: Is this a good price?

For what consoles? Are you referring to the entire PSX collection?

I'd say pass on it. Unless you're into collecting, as has been mentioned. If you just want the games (even with manuals), you could spend a little more time and a lot less money to find them. You might be able to collect them all for half that price -- I'd say $300 is a bit more accurate, but definitely not five hundred bones.

Unless you're referring to Australian currency, and it's worth less than American currency. For American, $500 for that is too much.

Re: Is this a good price?

If they are all the original non greatest hits versions then it's worth 500....maybe.

Pass on it, can get that entire collection for under 100 at the most.

They are non platinum on ps1. And they are being sold as a set from the one buyer.

    I'm talking Australian dollars.

500$AU for PS1 Original versions of Origins, Anthologies, and Chronicles, plus 7-9.
...I'm assuming their used, so... even 500$AU is too much. >_>

    In my opinion, anyway.

Re: Is this a good price?

Isn't the Australian dollar at parity with the US right now? Or even higher. I know the NZD is sitting around 90c US, and both our economies are experiencing commodity booms. If you're buying them from an Australian, this is a good deal. Keep in mind these items are rarer in countries smaller than the States. There's a hefty premium on that. You could pay $130 AUD alone for 7, 8, or 9 non-platinum. If you want them, this is a good deal.

Re: Is this a good price?

500 bucks for a couple of mediocre games is way too much. If you're set on buying, though, bargain with the gypsy selling it and bring his or her price down to where it should be; ten to twenty bucks. I wouldn't pay any more then that, though.

If you can't get 'em to drop the price to ten or twenty bucks, burgle the damn gypsy and take what you want. That's how dad did it, that's how America does it, and it's worked out pretty well so far.

Yeah, I didn't take into account the premium, but according to an accurate currency converter...

    500.00 AUD = 530.36 USD

    1 USD = .94 AUD

You have a point with the rarity... but even so.. 530$ is.. nuh uh. I remember paying 65$ USD for a copy of Lunar for the PS1 and it included the Limited Edition stuff for it, ...except for the fancy map. >_>

Re: Is this a good price?

If you collect, then go for it. Alone, I've seen a non-platinum, sealed version of Final Fantasy VII go for £75 (about $130).

    Otherwise, pass.

Oh, I don't need to buy a wallaby. I can just go to the local golf course and try to tame one. I'm serious, there is like, 20 plus living there.

I'm not going to buy due to lack of funds. But I would buy it if I could. It may seem a bit much, but considering you get them all in one set is a plus for me. I couldn't be stuffed buying them all individually. I've noticed that most of these games are between $30 to $130 plus postage.

All these prices are from Ebay. I guess I'll just have wait until a better deal comes up.

Re: Is this a good price?

Do hold your money, not worth it in my opinion. Say, for example, that each game costs $40 USD online, FF1 - 10, not including 7, 8, & 9. That's 4 x 7 = $280 USD roughly. That's just a bit over half what you're looking at in that deal. Of course, you can't find most of those games in a single console. . .7-9 can be pretty expensive.
