    Gift Giving (Christmas) + Wishlist

As Christmas is rapidly approaching what are some of the gifts you got for yourself and for others this year.

For my younger sister I wasn't sure what to get her, I know she likes clothing but she's very picky so I put 60$ in a card that way she can decide to get whatever she wants.

For my older sister (actually she's just a year younger then me) I bought her the new Inuyasha the Final Act Set 1 (I know she loves anime and Inuyasha is one of her favourites)

Also I still have some money coming in on the 21st so I can get them something else (not to expensive) because I still need to buy Christmas Dinner lol

As for myself I recently bought an Apple TV and before that an iPod Touch 5th Generation. So I guess they can count as early Christmas gifts from myself.

Also what Gifts are you hoping to get this year for christmas from others (ie your wish list) ?

I only want one thing for Christmas this year and that's an HDTV (to hook up my Apple TV to) Fyi: I still have one of those old CRT TV's >_< Other things on my wish list this year include an iTunes Gift Card and an HDMI to HDMI Cable (for my Apple TV)

    Happy Holidays

Gifts, not really a tradition on Christmas around here, we concentrate more on stuffing ourselves with excessive amount of delicious food...

I ****ing hate buying Christmas presents.

I've gotten most people their presents, but I'm still searching for a gift for my mum and another little something for my dad. I bought my little brother a big robot, pretty cool, looks like iron man. I'll probably play with it more than him.

My favourite present this year is to my friend Sarah, because my best friend and I will be presenting her the gift in a homemade tardis. We're so excited to make it. Come on guys, a ****ing home-made tardis! Excellent.

I bought my best friend another One Direction doll like I did for his birthday. Sad thing is, it's not even a joke anymore. He actually likes it.

I'm being a scrooge this year and not buying presents for nobody. My family doesn't really celebrate Christmas anymore and I haven't got any close friends to get my Christmas on with. Hopefully next year will be different, as I do like it.

I usually enjoy buying gifts though, I just have trouble choosing. At first I'm all excited to get people gifts, then I'm in the store and start panicking a little, because I don't want to buy a crappy present! I hate it when you ask someone what they'd like and they're like, "Oh just get me anything." Like that helps!!

My main gift is going home for the holidays. I will be getting my niece something, that I do know. I'll definitely get some cards, but most of my family doesn't really need anything. My older sister mainly wants me ti be there for her wedding (in june). I should be able to get off , but it is a new job and all. Haven't gotten myself anything either. Keeping my money for booze for when I get back - drinking with sisters, drinking with friends, drinking xmas/eve, drinking new year's eve. Haha.

I bought.... Brave the disney movie for my parents. I also bought the Kirby collection for my Nephews, and I also bought Kirby Returns to Dreamland for them as well. Hopefully my family will enjoy what I bought them (especially my nephews who are technically getting 7 games). I was happy to go out and buy these for them, can't wait to give them out near christmas time

I made sure to get most of mine while I still had money to spend. I got my youngest brother a Transformers comic TPB, it's all the issues of a series in one book, rather than having six or seven individual ones floating around. My elder but still younger than me brother is getting a kit for his ds that has stuff like extra styluses, cleaning cloth and game cases. I bought myself a psp becuase they're going really cheap nowadays as well as Final Fantasy II. Oh and a walkthrough of X-2 but I got it before I lost all my progress so I'm probably not going to touch it for awhile after I get it. As usual as I know what I'm gonna get, I'm more excited to see what others are getting.

I tend to be too generous for my own good, and it p!sses my dad off. I get pretty cool toys for my close friends' kids this year (especially the younger ones), and a perfume set for my friend's eldest, that I was so tempted to keep for myself. Everyone else got either calendars or bath stuff, lol.

I am holding out for Assassin's Creed III for my Christmas, but I doubt I will get this very much. My mum is not up to much due to her illness, but they have already bought me loads of stuff. I won't be able to make it down for Christmas per se, because the scheduling manager is a heartless piece of crap, and has already denied holiday for one of my colleagues, who has a terminally ill relative. This makes me afraid to even ask...

I'm making all hand-knit stuff for my family. Colorful woolen socks for my nephew and niece (even tho I've never seen the sprouts) gloves and hats for the closer friends and family, considering how cold it is outside, I might just get Santa to deliver these early
Oh and of course my kitty will be getting a new Christmas hat

I haven't even started, and therefore don't know who I'm buying for and what I'm buying. All I know is I can afford my phone bill and car insurance with enough left over for gas, so I'm just thankful I don't own a credit card.

I also have no craft skills, so pretty much anyone expecting a gift from me is ****ed this year.

I don't do the wish list that much anymore. I dunno, there comes a point in time when you can literally buy yourself whatever you want during the year that it seems silly (to me) to ask people for more when I've got so much already. I had a much more different attitude about it when I didn't have the money to get myself stuff though.

Hubby and I don't really exchange gifts anymore. All our money goes towards getting our kiddo HER presents... its far more fun to watch her open up stuff and get excited about it. We don't buy for my brother and sister in law anymore for the same reasons, far more fun to use that money for our nephews.

Last year we didn't exchange gifts as we went back to Mexico for our 1 year wedding anniversary. This year will be the same, but we're in the process of buying a house so (again) that's kinda our gift to each other.

Seeing as how I have little money, I'm not asking for a whole lot this year and in return I've told my parents I would prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner for what I got in return.
They seemed pretty adamant on getting me something even though I told them I wanted nothing.

I am more excited about what I've gotten other people this year. And I may have gotten myself a few items on sale.......

My parents always ask what I'd like, so I try to come up with a few things I can use. I mentioned to a few people that I'm in need of synthetic and wool socks - socks to run and go backpacking in. I have a bunch of cotton socks, and cold sweaty feet are the worst. I'd get them for myself anyway, but this way, I get them as gifts and can save that money to buy gifts in return. I hope I get so many socks.
    Curious?

I haven't even started buying people stuff yet, but I've told myself I'm not going over the top this year; my mother, brother, nan, stepdad and boyfriend will be getting two gifts, Rolo will get a toy, and my best friend I'll probably buy a game for and something small and related.

My mother likes to keep it simple, and just wants lavender oil for her burner and perfume. Might pick her up a nice set or something. Thing is, she's very fussy with sets, and ends up with allergic reactions from most things I buy. Yay, hunting!

I'm thinking of getting my brother the game Dishonoured (yes, I spelt it wrong - sue me). He's had his eye on it for a while, but I know he's trying to be wiser with his money and just bought Black Ops II Hardened and Dark Souls the other week. I was also thinking of getting him airsoft related, but he already has three guns, a few hundred pelets and enough gas to last until Spring.

My nan is happy with chocolates. Seriously. After Eights and Ferrero's and she's estatic. Thing is, everyone will get her those. Might get her a nice fluffy pair of slippers and a soft blanket.

My stepdad hates receiving gifts, but he's getting one! Just not sure what yet!

I've been thinking of buying my boyfriend a pay as you go mobile phone. He's not had one in years because "he's never had anyone to call". I think he'll like it, and maybe when money isn't tight, he'll convert to a contract in the future. Just something for him to play with and get used to. I was also thinking of getting him Tales of Graces f. He's been playing my version over at my house if he wakes up before me on weekends, but he's mentioned buying it for himself. He just bought Hitman, so I don't think he's going to be buying himself Tales any time soon though.

    Rolo is getting a toy. I'm the only one who gets my dog something. I love watching him open his gifts - he gets so excited, and loves whatever I get him. I even let him help me open my gifts as he gets more excited than me heh. ^^;

My best friend I'll probably buy Assassin's Creed III or LEGO Lord of the Rings for. She's student so money is tight when it comes to games. But she loves games, so... Yeah. I just have to wait incase someone else gets her it first, or I can give her a gift recipt with it.

As for myself... I've pretty much bought everything I've wanted this year. I have a job and a nice amount of money at the end of the month, so I can afford the stuff I want or need. I've been been buying pretty much my own food and clothes too, so... maybe some PSN credit, Microsoft points and either a CD or AppStore/iTunes cards. I'd prefer maybe the Dragonborn DLC and The Lumineers album (I think my boyfriend is already getting it for me). =3

That time of the year already huh. Im over the whole splurging on presents over Christmas not just on myself but on other ppl. I'm trying not to spend so much on everyone this time plus all my hard earned $$$ is better off spent elsewhere like my WSPA and RSPCA subscriptions since I despise shopping let alone fkn christmas shopping, I will blindly believe in the Mayans and their prophecy so I dont have to fret over what all these spoilt ingrates really want as a gift. I will however get, been waiting almost half a year for it, The Dark Knight Rises on blu ray/DVD n import a copy of Professor Layton Vs Ace Attorney from Japan both for myself! everything else I can only wish for...FFVII HD remake, FFVII Before Crisis Remake, RE2 remake, in my bed..
