Na, you're tough, so that won't happen.

My brother was about 13-14 when he played San Andreas. Before he was a nice kid you could talk to. Then he started talking like he was in some kinda gang. Started making guns out of lego (ok ok, its not REAL, but he thought about guns), calling me a bitch and a slag/slapper (which i don't understand), and he started listening to Snoop Dog and 50 Cent (never used to). He was going down this dangerous road that me and my mum didn't understand, and it scared us. It still scares me, cos I don't think he has changed much - still calling me all this hooker names.

He don't understatand that its just a silly little game, which is has very sterio-typed characters, and a sh*t unbelieveable plot. And thats all that games are - plots.

Well, problem is that some people are finding these games too real and taking them to heart - like Warren LeBlanc did.

Fact is, game developers can put age restrictions on these games and all but at the end of the day that only stops who is buying these games, not who is playing them. I've played 18+ games for years, and it hasn't affected me at all.

But yes, games are built around plots (well, at least, the ones in this context) and sometimes these plots can be degenerate to some groups and people think it's cool to go around mimicking this behavior.

In this case, it is only the player's fault.

Final Fantasy and Baldur's Gate gave me my love of beer. And turn me into an Australian version of Popeye the Sailor Man when I needs it.

But the only thing I've noticed people I've seen in real life take from games is geeky jokes only we understand, and at times a few lines and the like. I have a friend who has insisted on talking like Minsc every so often after I let him borrow a copy of Baldur's Gate 2. And that came out almost a decade ago now I think... 1999, 2000, 2001. Something like that...

Oh and every time you see two large gangs fighting in real life...
Those were PVP players on several MMORPGs.

Well now, there isn't much that I can add to this that hasn't already been said. The fact that there will now be some people in the world who are even more convinced that Video Games are the root of all this violence is depressing to me.

Seriously people, GET SOME EFFING HELP. I do not understand how some people can become so...obsessed that they would do some of those things. Or how a video game is more important than your own family. What the...?
OLD SKOOL - A positive appellation referring to when things weren't flashy but empty of substance, were done by hard work, didn't pander to the lowest common denominator, and required real skill. Labour-saving devices, shortcuts that reduce quality and quitting before the task is done are not characteristics of "old skool."

In reference to computer games, refers to a game that had substantial playability without flashy graphics or eye candy. Old skool gamers appreciate difficult maneuvers, careful planning, and scorched earth policies.

In reference to role-playing games, old skool refers to games that tested players' wits, could kill off careless characters, and required dedication and inner strength to play. Old skool games didn't pander to the ideas that everyone is created equal, that all options are open to all races, that the markets were somehow free, and that a quasi-medieval society could have near 100% literacy.

Did they go to TFF? I wouldn't doubt it.

I dunno what to say here; it's just pathetic. Can't you just pause the game, eat for 10-15 mins and go back to being a hardcore loser? I mean come on now, you're neglecting food and basic nourishment to play a videogame which will not benefit your life AT ALL. I hope that guy fries.
