Final Fantasy Tattoos

Yes, there are those who love the combination of FF & tattoos and I happen to be one of those.. I decided to start off small and get my whole right arm done..

I still have much to do so it doesn't look great at the moment but I thought I'd share this with everyone

I was thinking of a set of wings on my left shoulder. It is FF inspired. I also believe in Guardian Angels (which is a bit off topic) and would like to pay tribute to that angel who's been following me around.

Haha I wouldn't, most artists can do a pretty good job, my guys done a good job so far but only because he stencilled it on me

The artists for the original pictures were from Deviant Art, to be honest I would love to tell you who but I don't quite know, I found them all a while ago hehe. But definitely check up on Deviant Art, they have some amazing work on there.

Definitely do more research, because not to diss the OP tattoo....but there is nothing there to justify traveling to get done by a specific artist.

I applaud you for being so dedicated to Final Fantasy to have characters forever etched on your body. I would never even get a tattoo (personal choice), so I admire all who do.

It can also be thought of as brand-messaging. Just like the companies that pay people to tattoo their logos on their bodies.

I am loving this thread. Can anyone here please design a sleeve for me. Im begging you, I would much prefer a fan of the series do it for me than a tattooist who doesnt know anything about the game.

If I do get a tattoo, especially Final Fantasy themed (which is most likely), I'm going to do a Final Fantasy VII tribute and get a small materia orb on my wrist. I was also thinking of having some of the magical elements spewing from it, but I thought that'd look tacky. Just a plain orb. This materia slot tattoo also looks cool, but I wouldn't want it so big.

And maybe do the black materia on one wrist and white on the other. Unsure. Not like I have limited time to get inked or anything. xD

EDIT: Also, I kind of like this, but it's waaay too big for my liking. I wouldn't want a to scale one.

That FFXIII tattoo is a little overkill in my opinion, but each to their own.

I have been consider for a long time (but struggling to raise the capital) a Quina Quen based tattoo, or even just one of his/her quotes in a replica font from the motto posters before the menu screen. ("I do what I want, you have problem!?") or the game.

If there are any keen artists who can draw tattoo designs I would love to see what you come up with. I appreciate these things take time, and probably more input from the person having the tattoo so certainly not expecting a wave of responses but any effort would be greatly appreciated.

But no, I hear what you're saying. That guy went really overboard by getting what looks like a scaled version. I wouldn't want a large tattoo like that. A small version would be nicer, and it'd still be a talking point if someone saw it, rather than a statement.

I see where you are coming from with the initial scepticism to my post Unknown, and yet also agree with the rest of your comments too. It might have seemed a little hypocritical of me to say it was overkill and yet be looking on quite pleased at the OP's tattoos, but I do feel there's quite a difference between them other than the obvious aesthetics. The OP's are far more personalised in that they are people (albeit fictional ones) and also tattoos that should ultimately make up a very good looking sleeve as opposed to a single 'artefact' of a tattoo in the L'Cie/Fal'Cie (whatever it is called) one.

I think both are statements, as with all tattoos really, and would just express my thoughts on tattoos in general that they are very personal and can't really be criticised. People will do with their own bodies what they wish, but in a circumstance where I was forced to have one or the other, it would be the faces (completed with colour and other decoration) as a far more attractive piece of artwork. And if I recall rightly, didn't that thing on the FFXIII characters arms glow intermittently?

Yeah I've always liked the idea with the XIII l'Cie mark but yeah in the picture you provided it looks a bit overdone in size. I actually wanted to get that done but my mind changes alot and I decided against it, after finishing this sleeve with complete shading and colouration I'll be definitely inking myself with more Final Fantasy.

When I turn 19 (Age above where I live to get one) I want to get a neck tattoo of Terra Branford from FFVI, and then Freya Crescent on my arm. My friend Rhianon said she's going to get a chocobo on her lower back (Tramp stamp I think they call it?).
