I've had plenty of stuff stolen from me, annoyingly enough.
A friend stole a couple DVD sets I had and sold them. Unfortunately for her, the person she sold them to was a friend of a friend's and I saw my DVDs at his house a while later at a party. I knew they were mine because I perma-markered my initial on the bottom of the spines. I let him keep the DVDs since he bought them, thinking they were my friends and just stopped letting the girl come over or leaving her alone with my stuff.
Another time, I left my purse in a car at the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland. I realized right after I got off and the car left with a new batch of riders that I had left it. I waited half an hour for all the cars to cycle through twice, checking every bag compartment for my purse. Never saw it again. Lost $300, a camera, my phone, and my house keys. Some might say this isn't stealing, but if you take something that's not yours and don't turn it into the lost and found, you're stealing. I checked in with the lost and found for three weeks after that to see if anything would turn up, but no dice. Such is life.
