I'm not a football fan, but my boyfriend is and he hasn't even heard of that guy.
He mentioned that Rochdale isn't a very good team though, so maybe that's why.

farewell legend of the football league of england.
i know its off topic but i want to get this point out about lower league football as it gets shoved aside most of the time rochdale are one of the only few teams to play at the new wembley at competition leveleven though they lost to local rivals stockport 3-2 they are cleary the team to watch next season
after reading chez thread i beg football fans to go their local club and watch a game to see even lower league football is just as enjoyable as the prem exept if you live in bury(only joking)

Some say he's wanted by the CIA, and that he sleeps upside down like a bat... all we know is, he's called the Stig
Some say that his tears are adhesive, and that if he caught fire, he'd burn for a thousand days... all we know is, he's called the Stig.
Some say that his genitals are on upside down, and that if he could be bothered, he could crack the Da Vinci Code in 43 seconds... all we know is, he's called the Stig.
Some say that the outline of his left nipple is exactly the same shape as the Nürburgring, and that if you give him a really important job to do, he'll skive off and play croquet... all we know is, he's called the Stig.
Some say he isn't machine washable, and all his potted plants are called Steve... all we know is, he's called the Stig.

THIS SIGNATURE IS VERY DISTRACTINGS
I was the holder of the highest amount of rep that ever lived on TFF. 1788. lolz. I ween.
Ernie Cooksey. Yeah I heard about him, I live as TMD would know fairly close to Rochdale. Rochdale are a decent team, but for those who don't know they play in League Two of the Footballing League (The old Div 3) so they won't be that well heard of except locally.
Ernie was a bit of a nomadic player as pointed out, but it was never claimed he was a bad one. He was a player akin to the lower leagues, and spent three years at Rochdale where I believe he was always well-liked. Dying at 28 is too young for anyone though. Cancer is an unrelenting and unforgiving disease, and I still hold out hope for a cure one day.
His first-born child is due to be born in a month. Kind of... well puts things into perspective doesn't it.
