Won a Watermelon eating contest but the video is not on Youtube anymore :\

A won a contest for a holiday to queensland, flights, accomodation for 2 nights(2 seperate rooms) and tickets to movieworld, seaworld and wetnwild for 4 people. valued at around 3k. I answered a 25 words or less question, and I basically made up the answer because I hadnt even seen the movie.

3 weeks later (id forgotten id even entered cause I entered heaps of competitions at this point) I get a call from a very excited lady telling me that I won the competition.

I tried out for Australia's Next Top Model one year(wont say which one). I was one of the finalists in my state bt thats as far as I got, they never called me back. I chalked it up to having too much modelling experience beforehand lol bt I was the only one who got my picture in the paper (Sunday Telegraph i think it was) with one of the judges. I never really watched the show tho n if I did, it was the American version.

My friends hired out a karaoke booth in the city n we had a lil fun karaoke contest over cocktails n mocktails (there was a bar inside the venue). One of my white friends n I can rap this entire song (a running gag in our group) so we teamed up n shared the win. So damn fun.

Other than that, Ive participated in n won a few Gymnastics, Dance, Athletic n Modelling competitions in my time n those yearly talent quests in primary school n high school. Nothing obscure bt. Eating contests look n sound so much fun bt apparently Im a slow eater lol.

Most of the things I've "won" that were strange turned out to be scams or some kind of involved marketing ploy. I entered a raffle from Verizon for some kind of free hotel accommodations and behind the plate tickets to a baseball game, won, and was told that I had to be 30 years old or married. I'm neither, and none of these stipulations were told to me when my girlfriend and I signed up. A few days after they called me, and then rejected me, they called her to say she won.

Another time, I won an award for a poem that I had never written. I received a plaque from my elementary school and everything. I was in kindergarten at the time and was lucky if I could fill out my alphabet books. I still have the plaque too for some reason

I won tickets to the Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge at a company picnic my dad took us all to at Dollywood back when he hauled Sea Ray boats. I don't remember if it was in a raffle or cuz I did the chicken dance tho. Dixie Stampede is like Medieval Times but western/southern themed.

Won a $25 gift card when I worked at Longhorn Steakhouse once cuz they'd do a weekly drawing. Won a few little contests when I worked at Red Lobster - the GM would do like Bingo (Sell X amount of appetizers & alcoholic drinks, up selling, getting compliments, etc) and a couple of other things. The prize was a free app but I was always like "lol no cough up $10 son" to my boss.

This one time, I could've easily won tix to Distant Worlds in Georgia from TFF, but I was stupid and didn't enter cuz I thought we were going to buy them anyway. We didn't go at all.

There's always the forum awards too. I've won shit from here and 2 other places. Most amusing was when my mom died, I won something like "Most Likely To Be Secretly Cooking Meth" & "Drunkest Member" at eoff.

I won a Max Payne bag at work when the game came out! I was top for attach on sales by a long shot. GTA V had been announced about the same time, and I got like a hundred and seventy odd preorders for it over four days. I pushed for it because all the guys ganged up to win it, and I thought that ****ing sucked. It's a pretty neat bag too - I've used it s few times when I've stayed over the boyfriend's place. Makes a good weekend bag!

I also recently won a Twitter competition, and nabbed myself a copy of the Halo Master Chief Collection with some other Halo goodies. I got a mug, t-shirt, lanyard, vinals, coaster, bottle opener, keyring, etc. If I even had an Xbox One, it'd be the coolest thing I ever won. ^^;

I won a bowling tournament when I was 12. I'm an awesome bowler as long as I concentrate. If I don't concentrate, I become retarded, which is apparently my standard personality, lose focus, and fail miserably. That did not happen on the day of the bowling tournament, because I had the eye of the tiger, and a will of fire in my gut that told me that I needed to win!

Actually, I just wanted a big trophy. It was shiny, and I wanted it, so I bowled great, and I took it. And I don't even know where the hell that trophy is anymore. I didn't throw it out, so it's definitely somewhere collecting dust.

I also won the lottery in 2008. Won 45 billion dollars. That's a lie, but it would be really cool to have 45 billion dollars. I would be able to donate more than $10 at a time to charity.

I've never won a contest thing I entered. Unless if you count the ~$30k of scholarship money I have won over the last 6 years (suck on that, games of chance). Yet somehow I still have massive student debt.
