    Re: English Football?

New season started last week didn't it? Although yeah the Prem starts today.

I support Ipswich (obviously. Come on you blues!) and I always find that the Championship has better games. Maybe that's just me. It's always the same old teams in the Premiership, whereas the Championship always has something new every season.

I don't go to watch it (too expensive), but I follow it a lot and watch it on TV when ever I can.

The championship is much more entertaining than the prem because it doesent have the same pace as the prem but its not slow and people score from like 30 yards out and the winner isnt the same two years on the run like Manchester United did. As it currently stands Blackpool are top of the table i find that amusing.

Huge Chelsea fan, since the days of Stanić, Zola, Desailly, Hasselbaink, when team couldn't afford to buy anyone they want. Of course, I'll be supporting them this year also, but to be honest I don' think Chelsea has what it takes to defend the tittle.Competition has never been bigger, not to mention that Chelsea sold a good amount of her players, and bought almost no one to fill the blanks, which means they wont have a decent replacement for injured players, and we all know Chelsea has serious problems with injuries every, it became some sort of tradition. God, I really hope Essien and Drogba can make it this season without an injury.

This year's Premiership will be even more exciting than the last one, as for the Championship, unfortunately there's no way I can watch the matches (sport channels here suck hard and my internet is limited) so I'll have to keep track of results only.

    Re: English Football?

First and foremost, I am anal when it comes to semantics, so I will just say the prefix "association" is used to describe what many call "soccer", thus association football as opposed to english football.

I was born and grew up just a few miles from where Highbury was and where the Emirates stadium is so I am a diehard gooner. Despite obvious deficencies in defence and in goal the team look like they might do something this year. We still have the best creative players( Fabregas, Arshavin, Rosicky, Nasri, Wilshere etc) and the best fullbacks in Clichy and Sagna in the league, with Walcott being the most explosive. If Van Persie stays injury free this current crop of players could have a big year.

I am delighted that Blackpool have had such a great return to the topflight. And it looks like Spurs will finish behind Arsenal again from what I saw today.

I don't live too far from Highbury myself (I could see the stadium everyday on the way to college), but I dislike Arsenal.

Wouldn't say I was a huge football supporter, but Spurs and Manchester United are my favourite teams. The family are Tottenham supporters, and friends support Manchester. I don't actually care who wins what - it's just a game.

    Re: English Football?

A game that causes injury and dissapointment IN THE HOME! Dissapointment because Everton lost a silly goal against Blackburn Rovers today. Injury because one of the wheels on my computer chair is broke and naturally i shouted at the Tv then the wheel ran away i leant back and it tipped and then i put a lot of effort into leaning forward to redeem my error then i fell of the front of the chair and landed on my knees and face.

I like it, but I don't follow it. Much respect though to the sport and it's players.
