I'm a little torn on this. On one hand, when it comes to driving, I'll do everything by the book, unless it's a case where I have to just swerve out of my lane to avoid something stupid, but even then I'll try to give a heads up signal to the others behind me. I don't think it's right at all not to signal for any reason, and it's a major reason why I think Pennsylvania is retarded. They have some law where you don't have to signal if you're on the highway going either above or below 40mph.
However, I also believe in fairness when it comes to the roads. If I let a car merge in front of me on a ramp, I won't let anyone else, and I'll be a **** about it. It's a simple 1 to 1 ratio, and it keeps the traffic flowing. I also HATE the people who drive on the shoulder in traffic jams, just to cut ahead of everyone else, so yeah I will intentionally ride a little bit wide just to stop them from cheating everyone else. I don't care where you have to be, we're all stuck in it.
As per everything else, it goes on a case by case basis. Usually, I'll help people out, and would expect them to help me out if I needed it. However, if it's one of those situations where I deserved what's coming, I'll just man up and take the hit. I'd expect the same from others if they got into similar situations.
