Oh, I thought you meant real, full-size trains. I like those ones, I don't really care for the little ones.
Ever since I was a child, I've been spoiled with expensive train models, ones from GDR to be precise. There came a time when I lost them all, but now I've started collecting again. Ebay is a great place for that. So far I got 4 Piko trains: one steam, one diesel locomotive and 2 diesel passenger trains. Also got a nice oval track for testing them. Anyone else here into collecting trains? An expensive hobby but a pretty nice one as well. Just gotta watch your wallet or it might go abit broke.

GET OFF, GET OFF, GET OFF, GET OFF!!!
Also, 'train, train, take us away, take us away, far away, to the future we will go, where it leads, no one knows'

I have my dad's old Lionel trains in storage. All stuff from the 50s. Not really sure what's in the set, but I think there's an engine or two and a bunch of different cars. We used to set it up in my grandparents basement around Christmas.
As for regular, passenger trains, I absolutely hate public transportation. I prefer to drive, everywhere.

Model trains're cool. Fun to look at when someone's got a huge set up somewhere.
Public transportation is whatevs. I can take it or leave it. I generally hate that I'm not in control, though.
True story: the train shop where Bobby Baccala got killed on the Sopranos is 15 mins away from me

Cool. That was in New York, right? Wait, Goodfellas and Godfather were.
As for real life trains, they're a fun mode of transportation. Peaceful and relaxing. More expensive, but better than bussing.
I rode a train exactly once that I remember, that was not an Elevated Train...I get back to my birthplace from time to time, just to check how big my shoulders have gotten. Still not much for hog butchering though I do enjoy eating bacon...specialization, y'know...

There's a very cool train store right next to Time Square, on the corner with Hard Rock Cafe or Disney store. Somewhere there. The entrance is down the stairs and in the basement.
