So I recently won a little over $60 dollars last saturday playing some halo. I decided I want to drop some money on shoes, since I only really have two pairs that I use for everyday purposes. I have some old blue and white Nike hightops, and some brown and white DC skater sneakers. I also have some running tennis shoes but I'm not counting those

So, what kind of shoes should I get? I'm not against ordering it from a website, but I wanted to get some opinions before I go out and drop some money on shoes. Help prz!

EDIT: I was thinking, maybe these? It's in my price range and they kinda look cool, or is this too overbearing, haha. PS I wear 10-10.5's.

I definitely like them, but my DC kicks are pretty similar to that and idk if I want a second pair of something similar. But at the same time, I don't want to look like a goofy jackass by trying something new like with what I was looking at. decisions decisions..

Since I normally work at a skate shop, you should get some "Authentic" (kind of like the color your other shoes lol) or "Era" Vans. They're not expensive, usually under 50. they're simple but all the guys buy them plus you can wear them with everything especially if you get a solid color like Black on white/ Black on Black, Blue or even Red.

EDIT: or Vulcanized but they might be a little more price wise.

I do like both the shoes presented, haha. Not too sure on the colour scheme on the OP though - a little too bright and contrasting.

They're both something I'd wear, provided they had smaller, more female types.

Yeah I was kinda thinking the same thing. They do look cool but it just seems like I would be overdoing it with getting them, idk.

I'm not quite yet sold on the vans but they are something different and I've never owned a pair before so I'm thinking of giving the vulcanized ones a try. The real question is, should I get some neutral color pair of vans, or should I go for something else? (I'm really digging the paisley purple and the orange ochre for some reason, idk)

Any other suggestions for shoes I should be looking at?

I have a pair of these, and my shoes are the same size as yours (10.5 US M). I typically only go 10 with dress shoes.

In any case, depending upon your foot style, you may or may not like New Balance. I find them to be the most incredibly comfortable athletic-style shoe out there... but again, that's entirely dependent upon your feet. I remember picking those up when they were $90, but since it's an outdated model, they're getting reasonably cheap.

edit: Though, apparently they're only available in a 7. The site does have an option to browse by size and width, so at least that helps. A lot of New Balance's trainer models are very comfortable; they fall between a running shoe and a court shoe, and really serve as an all-purpose shoe.

Honestly, for some reason I'm not a big fan of NB, idk why but I just don't care for their brand. They do have nice and comfy tennis shoes, but I was looking for something with more style I think. If theyre really comfy as you say they are, I'll give them a shot.

Anyways, I'm gonna look around in a little bit today but I'm not committed to buying anything as of now, still haven't decided what exactly I want. This thread does give me a lot of insight on what kind of shoes you all wear though!
